Hey, Hungry Girl!

I'm pretty sure I have a peanut butter addiction. I find that after a meal, I crave something sweet -- most of the time something consisting of chocolate and peanut butter. Got any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm curious why your recipes call for powdered creamer that gets dissolved in water instead of calling for liquid creamer. Are the stats different, or is it because the shelf life of powdered creamer is longer, or is it for a whole different reason? I love your recipes, your website, and the daily emails!

There are a couple of reasons, actually. The creamer we call for most often is sugar-free French vanilla. Both the liquid and the powdered versions are creamy and sweet with impressive stats. But the powdered variety is a MUCH better kitchen staple. Why? For one thing, portion control. While recipes make it easy and call for specific amounts of creamer, it's WAY too easy to over-pour liquid creamer into your coffee, causing calories to rack up quickly. (Who uses just ONE tablespoon?! Come on!) With the powder, a little goes a long way, and it's easier to keep the amount you're adding in check. Also, like you said, the powdered creamer has a much longer shelf life; so if you're not someone who drinks coffee daily but you want to make an HG recipe or two with the stuff, you're much better off buying the powdered kind. I feel the same way about plain, unflavored creamer -- just make sure to get the fat-free version. BTW, Coffee-mate makes the best creamers. Consider yourself Cream of Informed!
