Luna Whole Nutrition Bars in Dark Chocolate Flavors

1 bar: 180 calories, 8 - 9g total fat (2g sat. fat), 140 - 210mg sodium, 19 - 21g carbs, 3g fiber, 5g sugars, 7 - 8g protein -- SmartPoints® 6*

Luna's latest varieties are Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond, Dark Chocolate Hazelnut, and Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Chunk -- so basically, slam dunk. The gluten-free bars are packed with protein, taste amazing, and have only 5g sugars each! (FYI: Several of Luna's core flavors have had their sugar counts slashed.) Look for 'em with their slick new packaging in stores, or order some online.

Jones All Natural Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage

1 patty or 4 links: 50 - 80 calories, 3 - 5g total fat (1 - 1.5g sat. fat), 230 - 370mg sodium, 0 - <1g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, 6 - 9g protein -- SmartPoints® value 1 - 2*

With 75 percent less fat than pork sausage and super-impressive calorie and protein counts, these freezer-aisle chicken sausages are a major find! In both patties and links, they're free of nitrites, preservatives, and MSG. And they taste GREAT. Have 'em with your morning egg scramble, or use the patties in any HG recipe that calls for meatless or turkey sausage. Click to find, and stock up.

Quaker Breakfast Flats

3 bars: 170 - 180 calories, 6 - 7g total fat (0.5g sat. fat), 135 - 140mg sodium, 27 - 29g carbs, 2.5 - 3g fiber, 10 - 12g sugars, 3g protein -- SmartPoints® value 6 - 7*

If you ever wake up and wonder, "Could I just have cookies for breakfast?", here's a healthy way to satisfy that desire. These crispy "flats" are made with whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruit, and other good stuff, so you can totally justify enjoying them with your morning coffee (or as a sweet midday snack, for that matter). And you get three bars in each serving/pack. Available in Cranberry Almond, Golden Raisin Cinnamon (our favorite), and Banana Honey Nut. Yum time!

GREAT NEWS: Turns out walking burns more calories than previously thought.

If you find it hard to work up the willpower for a grueling workout, you'll be thrilled to know that a simple walk can be a serious calorie burner. Researchers have developed a more accurate way of calculating calorie burn: The new equation takes into account each person's height, speed, and resting metabolism. Their formula shows that, for most people, walking burns more energy than the current standard method of calculation suggests. Let's all go Housewalking to celebrate the good news!
