Eat Well Embrace Life Limited Time Only Pumpkin Spice Hummus

2 tbsp.: 50 calories, 2g total fat (0g sat. fat), 70mg sodium, 6g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g sugars, 2g protein -- SmartPoints® value 2*

If anyone can make pumpkin hummus taste great, it's Eat Well Embrace Life. We love the brand's unique flavors and unexpected ingredients! The EWEL Facebook page suggests serving it with cinnamon pita chips or spaghetti squash... We'll be dipping away with baby carrots and jicama sticks! Snap it up if you see it, since it won't be around forever.

New & Improved: Enlightened The Good-for-You Ice Cream Pints

1/2 cup: 80 - 100 calories, 1.5 - 4.5g total fat (1 - 2.5g sat. fat), 35 - 130mg sodium, 16 - 18g carbs, 5g fiber, 4 - 6g sugars, 7 - 8g protein -- SmartPoints® value 3 - 4*

We've been hot for this protein-packed frozen treat since it launched earlier this year. Well, in addition to having fun new packaging, it's now creamier than ever! With flavors like Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch and calorie counts as low as 80 per serving, you'll wanna sink a spoon into this stuff STAT. It's perfect for anyone who rarely sticks to a single 1/2-cup scoop of ice cream (a.k.a. most people). Click to find!

MorningStar Farms Veggie Bowls

When we heard MorningStar Farms added five new veggie bowls to its lineup, we had to investigate. So good, you guys! The HG favorites? Italian Sausage Bake and Japanese Soba Noodles. The Moroccan Medley and Chik'n Tikka Masala were good too: tasty and well spiced. (The Chik'n Pot Pie was just OK.) Whether you're a vegetarian or just like yummy food, grab some ASAP from the freezer aisle. Click to find.

This Week's 3 Things to Know…

Non-dairy Reddi-wip is in the works!

If you're living the dairy-free lifestyle and miss the days of squirting whipped cream onto your dessert (and, who are we kidding, right into your mouth), good news: The CEO of ConAgra recently revealed that coconut milk and almond milk versions of Reddi-wip are on the way! Our fingers are crossed that these products will be natural and low in calories. Speaking of natural and low in calories, check out Truwhirl the Natural. It's the squeezable version of our beloved Truwhip!

What we'll be eating in 2017…

The end of the year is upon us, and predictions for next year's hot trends are rolling in. Grain bowls and meatless options made this top 25 list (consider those MorningStar Farms picks above), as did dairy-free options (like coconut Reddi-wip!). Other categories we're interested in: breakfast sandwiches (forever and ever), canned wine (hello, portion control!), and Filipino food (time for us to develop a recipe for chicken adobo with cauliflower rice). Yummy new year coming!

Want to eat healthier? Turn off the tube.

A recent study in the journal Appetite revealed some very interesting info on family dinnertime. Families that ate without the TV on tended to eat healthier. Those eating with the TV on ate fast food more frequently than those with it off. But most interestingly, families who dined sans TV reported enjoying their meals more than the TV watchers. Guess that Gilmore Girls revival will have to wait...

And that's all we've got. 'Til next time… Chew the right thing!

Today, December 5th, is National Sacher Torte Day, the celebration of a Viennese chocolate cake for which we have no recipe. However, please enjoy our favorite chocolate cake creation!
