Diet Snapple Papaya Mango Tea - Why are all of our favorite new Snapple flavors coming from reality TV shows? First, The Celebrity Apprentice produced Trop-A-Rocka (courtesy of Bret Michaels), which completely rocked our taste buds. Now, The Amazing Race has us running to the beverage aisle for this delicious, limited-time-only tropical tea. No calories, no carbs, and a PointsPlus® value of 0*. What's next, tangerine tea from The Real Housewives of Orange County? Heads up: There's a non-diet version of Papaya Mango too, so make sure to get the zero-calorie kind with the blue label!

New Varieties! Weight Watchers Smart Ones Signature Sundaes - As constant evaluators of menu nutritional stats, we can attest that ordering an ice cream sundae can be a calorie catastrophe. That's why these guilt-free treats are a lifesaver. The new Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Turtle sundaes are GREAT, each with only 130 - 140 calories, 2.5 - 3g fat, 70 - 75mg sodium, 23 - 26g carbs, 0 - <1g fiber, 10 - 14g sugars, and 3g protein (PointsPlus® value 4). Step away from the dessert menu...

New Flavors! Snikiddy All Natural Baked Fries - A year or so ago, we told you about this line of kid-friendly snack foods in wacky flavors because, well, it sounded GREAT. And with new classic varieties -- Sea Salt and Barbeque -- it now sounds better than ever! An ounce of either new flavor of the crunchy "fries" has 130 calories, 4.5g fat, 190 - 210mg sodium, 21g carbs, 1g fiber, 2g sugars, and 2g protein (PointsPlus® value 4*). Let's hear it for going back to basics!

This is HUGE, people! So read closely (and read it a few times for clarity!). As you probably know, the Hungry Girl TV show currently airs on Cooking Channel, the new network from the folks who created Food Network. Since Cooking Channel is available in fewer homes than Food Network, thousands of you have been emailing to tell us how sad you are that you can't watch the HG show. Well, dry your eyes, because HUNGRY GIRL IS COMING TO FOOD NETWORK!!!!! For a limited time only -- FOUR consecutive Sundays in the month of May -- you can catch HG in action on FOOD NETWORK! This means that everyone who doesn't get Cooking Channel but does get Food Network can tune in for a sneak peek at the guilt-free televised fun! From May 8th until the end of May, tune in to Food Network at 10am/9c on Sundays to see full episodes of Hungry Girl! (Don't worry... We'll remind you!) If you're excited about this, let it be known! Email the people at Food Network and let them know how THRILLED you are that you'll be able to see HG on their airwaves -- maybe they'll decide to air the show regularly on FN as well as Cooking Channel! (We can dream, can't we?) Click here for details on the Food Network airings of Hungry Girl, and click here to see the Cooking Channel schedule!

HELLO, Ruby Tuesday -- New Guilt-Free Menu Items!

The people at Ruby Tuesday are vegging out in the best way! Check out the new additions to their menu... You'll be happy!!!

Spaghetti Squash Marinara - Whoa. WHOA. Ruby T. did the ol' swap-spaghetti-squash-for-pasta trick that calorie counters have been doing for years and put it on the menu. This ROCKS... especially since it has only 406 calories!

Veggie Trio & Garden Bar - Pick three yummy veggie sides and pair 'em with the Endless Garden Bar, Endless Garden Salad, or Freshly Made Soup. Speaking of veggie sides...

New Sides - The side dish menu just got an upgrade! Now available: Sliced Tomatoes with balsamic vinaigrette (84 calories), Roasted Spaghetti Squash (54 calories), and Fresh Grilled Asparagus (78 calories). Wahoooo!

The Buzz...

In light of the fact that recently proposed regulations would not require movie theaters to display calorie counts, we're SO happy to hear that theater chain AMC is now offering better-for-you treats at its concession stands. The Smart MovieSnacks pack consists of a trail-mix bar, fruit chips, a bag of HG fave PopCorners, and a bottle of water. While this is a HUGE step in the right direction, you might want to share that pack with a pal -- it's still a lot of food for a snack. Other than that, two thumbs up! ***Fast-food salad alert! Rumor has it that the Wendy's Berry Almond Chicken Salad, which was test marketed last summer, will become available next month and stick around until August! With blueberries, strawberries, Asiago cheese, almonds, grilled chicken, and raspberry vinaigrette with acai juice, it has a reported 460 calories (100 of which come from the dressing). Look for it soon! ***The food world is just FULL of good news today -- studies show that consumption of both blueberries and tangerines could help to prevent obesity! This is AWESOME, since we like berries and citrus fruit and aren't crazy about obesity... ***Get ready to chew for a cause... Our pals at The Laughing Cow have launched a new campaign called the Life Well Laughed Project, aimed at getting kids active and interested in healthier lifestyles. How can YOU help? Enter the UPC code from any package of The Laughing Cow cheese wedges or Mini Babybel. For every entry received by July 15th, the Cow will chip in a dollar toward health & wellness programs... up to $500,000! So PARTICIPATE! And that's all we've got. HG out!
