Hungry Girl Diet Success Story: Allison Lost Nearly 30 Pounds for Her Wedding Day!

Allison's Hungry Girl Diet Success Story

We love stories like this... Allison, one of our HG Diet VIPs, turned to the Hungry Girl Diet to help her look and feel great at her wedding, and to start living a healthier lifestyle in general. After just a few months on the plan, she lost 28 pounds... just in time to slip into her wedding dress. (After a few alterations, of course!) While she admits she put a few pounds back on during her honeymoon, she's confident she'll lose them again in no time. She also told us she can't wait to incorporate recipes from our new book, The Hungry Girl Diet Cookbook, into her rotation. Here are a few quotes from Allison regarding her experience on the diet...

"The recipes are delicious and incredibly filling. With how much food you're eating throughout the day, it's amazing that the pounds melt off!"

"I really enjoyed the flexibility and love that the plan encouraged me to try new things!"

"The plan has been very easy to follow, and I love that the possibilities are endless."

The Buzz...

Whole Foods launching more affordable storesFor people who'd like to shop at a place nicknamed "Whole Paycheck," but (for obvious reasons) don't, this is pretty great news... Whole Foods just announced it will launch a line of less expensive grocery stores. Hooray! Finding good-for-you food on a budget is something we're 100 percent behind. Look for the new stores starting next year... ***Continuing on the hot trend of restaurant chains cleaning up their menus, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins are the latest to hop on board the healthier-menu train. Parent company Dunkin' Brands Group has committed to reduce its foods' sodium content by 10 percent before 2016. Additionally, Dunkin' will roll out new guidelines for the DDSmart menu, setting limits for calories, sodium, sugar, and saturated fat. Can't wait to see what changes come! ***Where in the world is Hungry Girl? Indianapolis! Today at 7 p.m., come on out for HG's Super-Fun Night at the Barnes & Noble in Carmel, IN. Snap selfies, score free snacks, ask Lisa all your burning questions, and win amazing raffle prizes! Chicago: You're up on Wednesday. Click for details... ***Have you heard about Starbucks' new Mini Frappuccinos? They're 10-oz. versions of everyone's favorite freezy treats. We ran the nutritional info for all the Light Frap flavors... Click and see! ***Need help making smart food choices? Researchers at Cornell University identified a simple three-step hack to trick yourself into healthier eating. It's all about how the food is presented. Apparently, we're more likely to make smart food choices if those foods are 1) convenient, 2) attractive, and 3) normal. So make a habit of stashing pretty, grab-n-go produce in an obvious location for when your next snack attack strikes. And that's all we've got. 'Til next time… Chew the right thing!
