Jul 21 2017
It's easy to feel intimidated by a megastore like Costco. Here are some special finds worth seeking out!

Don Lee Farms Fully Cooked Chicken Patties

1 patty: 120 calories, 2.5g total fat (0.5g sat. fat), 390mg sodium, 3g carbs, 0g fiber, 2g sugars, 20g protein -- SmartPoints® value 2*

Having impressive heat 'n eat protein on hand is always important. And these frozen chicken patties fit the bill. Just microwave or toss in a skillet, and you're on your way to a flavor fest! These tasty patties are lightly seasoned and super juicy. They're like better-for-you hamburgers! Enjoy on a whole-grain bun, wrapped in lettuce leaves, or sliced up with cooked veggies and a splash of teriyaki.

Sambazon Superfruit Açaí Bites

1 piece: 50 calories, 3g total fat (2g sat. fat), 0mg sodium, 8g carbs, 0g fiber, 4g sugars, 0g protein -- SmartPoints® value 3*

Açaí bowls are trendy and beautiful (just ask Instagram), but they're often pricey and not exactly something most people would throw together at home. These bites, on the other hand, are perfect little frozen nuggets of açaí berry sorbet coated in dark chocolate. Lisa adores 'em and says they taste like frozen versions of the chocolate-covered jelly candies she ate as a kid. Such a great chilly dessert for this time of year…

True Story Organic Oven Roasted Turkey Breast Snack Packs

1 pouch: 35 calories, 0g total fat (0g sat. fat), 220mg sodium, 1g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, 7g protein -- SmartPoints® value 0*

This Costco exclusive is such a fantastic find. We're big on protein snacks, and these packs are great on the go. (Just don't leave them unrefrigerated for too long.) If you're enjoying them at home, try pairing 'em with pickles. Turkey and pickles will always be one of our favorite snack combinations!

San Francisco Bay French Roast Gourmet Coffee Pods

Check this out: Meant for Keurigs and other single-serve brewers, these pods come sealed up in a series of bags within the box, so your coffee stash stays fresher longer. Brilliant, considering there are 160 pods in the box! While you're stocking up, grab a few other staples for at-home coffee drinks. (P.S. We didn't forget the nutritional info. Plain coffee is virtually calorie-free!)

PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder

2 tbsp.: 50 calories, 1.5g total fat (0g sat. fat), 115mg sodium, 4g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g sugars, 6g protein -- SmartPoints® value 1*

Calling all peanut-butter freaks! This Costco pick is one of the best ways to get your powdered PB -- in a mega tub. (Not familiar with the miracle powder? Click to get up to speed.) Add it to smoothies, mix it into baked goods, stir it into oatmeal... Be creative! We were thrilled when we finally found a tub of powdered peanut butter big enough for Hungryland...

La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Whole Wheat Large Size Tortillas

1 tortilla: 90 calories, 3g total fat (0g sat. fat), 350mg sodium, 19g carbs, 13g fiber, 1g sugars, 8g protein -- SmartPoints® value 2*

Don't be afraid to buy your tortillas in bulk. These things freeze and defrost really well! HG tip: Freeze with a layer of parchment in between each tortilla, so you can easily separate them for thawing. With a sturdy stock of tortillas, you can make anything from wraps to pizzas in a snap. Do it!
