Precooked Protein

Who says meals have to be cooked from scratch in order to be good for you and delicious? Not us! A solid supply of ready-to-eat lean protein makes meal prep a breeze. Here are some of our favorites…

⭑ hard-boiled eggs

Chopped Veggie Stash

A little prep work over the weekend will you save you precious weekday time. Chop up an assortment of the veggies you love most: bell peppers, onions, broccoli, etc. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge, and reach for it anytime your meal could use some low-calorie super-sizing! Think omelettes & egg scrambles, canned soups & chilis, chopped salads, stir-frys, and more. No time for weekend prep? Grab a bag of slaw mix (broccoli or regular) from the supermarket… Pre-shredded veggies, at your service!

The Freezer Is Your Friend

There’s more to the freezer aisle than individual entrées. These days, you can find loads of healthy meal starters that heat up in minutes! Five favorites coming atcha…

Make Batter in a Blender

This one is AWESOME! Instead of breaking out (and cleaning up) a mixing bowl and a whisk -- then wasting valuable time stirring until your arm is sore -- just toss those ingredients into a blender! This trick is perfect for all types of batters: pancakes, muffins, cakes, and more. Bonus tip: Use the pulse function on your blender to roughly chop a small amount of veggies or herbs. Genius!

Enlist an Instant Pot

Take a seat, toaster… These days, the Instant Pot is our go-to countertop appliance. Use it to make favorites like shredded poultry, soups, stews, and oatmeal in a tiny fraction of the usual time.
