Eat Olive Oil, Prevent Alzheimer's - The American Chemical Society just published new info on olive oil's beneficial properties. Lower incidence of Alzheimer's disease has been noted in Mediterranean countries before, but until recently, it was attributed to the monounsaturated fats in olive oil. New research shows it could be due to a substance called oleocanthal that's present in olive oil. Our current oil of choice is this special blend (olive included!) by Pompeian.
