Breyers Gelato Indulgences
Dessert Is Served!
Spotted on Shelves...

Breyers Gelato Indulgences - These schmancy frozen treats are a touch higher in stats than we typically go for, but we're writing about them because they're THAT special. We tried the Tiramisu and Vanilla Caramel (amazing), and can only bet the Raspberry Cheesecake and Triple Chocolate are great as well. A 1/2-cup serving has 160 - 170 calories, 5 - 7g fat, 45 - 80mg sodium, 23 - 28g carbs, 0 - 1g fiber, 17 - 22g sugars, and 3g protein (PointsPlus® value 4 - 5*).

New Flavors! Luna Protein Bars - We love snacks that are high in protein and convenient, and the latest bars from Luna meet both criteria... plus, they're gluten-free. In Lemon Vanilla (sweet 'n citrusy) and Chocolate Coconut Almond (hello, Almond Joy fans), each bar has 170 - 180 calories, 4.5 - 7g fat, 140 - 160mg sodium, 21g carbs, 3g fiber, 12 - 15g sugars, and 12g protein (PointsPlus® value 4 - 5*). Find 'em at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, and other locations.

Amy's Light & Lean Meatless Swedish Meatballs - Get ready to stick a fork into a new light entrée from Amy's. Complete with pasta, veggies, and a creamy sauce, this meatball bowl has a slim 260 calories, 5g fat, 500mg sodium, 42g carbs, 3g fiber, 4g sugars, and 12g protein (PointsPlus® value 7*). To the freezer aisle...

On-the-Go Morning Menu News: Finds and Free Coffee!

Taco Bell Egg and Cheese A.M. Grilled Taco: While most of the items on the Bell's new b-fast menu are problematic, this one -- which looks like a cross between a soft taco and a quesadilla -- is totally reasonable in the stats department: 170 calories and 9g fat (PointsPlus® value 5*). If you don't see the meat-free taco on the b-fast menu, just request it. P.S. Those A.M. Crunchwraps are bad news, with 650 - 710 calories a pop.

Dunkin' Donuts Ice-Cream-Flavored Coffee Drinks: These new beverages sound like they could be diet disasters, but they're not bad, as long as you order right. Get a small iced or hot coffee in Cookie Dough Swirl, Butter Pecan Swirl (a returning favorite), or Jamoca Almond Fudge Swirl for 110 - 120 calories (PointsPlus® value 3*). They're already sweet and slightly creamy, so no need to add sweetener or milk. Don't live near a DD location, or prefer a calorie-free dessert-coffee fix? Check out DD's packaged seasonal flavors... So good!

Free Coffee at McDonald's Through April 13th: Not to be outdone, participating McD's locations are giving out free small cups of McCafé coffee during the usual b-fast hours. We'll be pairing our freebies with Egg White Delight McMuffins and Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfaits! Woohoo!
