Del Monte Fruit Chillers Frozen Fruit Sorbet Freeze & Eat Tubes - Check out these new TUBES of fat-free fruity sorbet. Made with real fruit, the chilly treats are sweet and refreshing. In Strawberry Snow Storm and Grape Berry Blizzard, each tube has 55 calories, 13g carbs, and <1g fiber (POINTS® value 1*). Look for them in the canned fruit aisle. WE LOVE THESE!
Just Bare Nothing But All Natural Chicken Breast Fillets and Tenders - We never get tired of delicious protein finds, and this one tastes as incredible as plain chicken can taste. We like the company's earth-friendly approach, too -- the chickens are farm-raised (cage-free) and vegetable-fed, and the products are sold in recyclable trays. A 4-oz. serving has 110 calories, 1g fat, and 25 - 27g protein (POINTS® value 2*). BTW, Just Bare also sells thighs, drumsticks, and whole chicken, but obviously those have more calories and fat. This stuff is in limited distribution right now (click here for retailers). Pssst, look for it at SuperTarget!
Healthy Ones Thin-Sliced Lunchmeats - This line of deli-style slices is 97% fat-free and contains no artificial flavors or fillers. And it tastes GOOD! There's Turkey Breast (Oven Roasted, Mesquite, Honey Roasted & Smoked, and Smoked), Ham (Cooked, Honey, and Smoked), and Oven Roasted Chicken Breast. A serving of each (4 - 7 slices) has just 60 calories, 1.5g fat, 1 - 4g carbs, and 8 - 11g protein (POINTS® value 1*). We'll be wrapping these slices around pickles, rolling 'em up in tortillas and lettuce wraps, and eating them straight from the container. Yep, we like meat.

***We love spreading good news to sodium-counters.Campbell's is further reducing sodium levels in all 25 Healthy Request soups. In addition, the soup co. is slashing sodium from the entire V8 soup line and even its famous original tomato soup. Also jumping on the less salt bandwagon? Denny's! The b-fast chain will be lowering the sodium content of a whole bunch of its menu items between now and June. ***A local TV station in NY recently busted Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts for selling snacks that had WAY more calories than the stores had posted. Apparently, testing showed that a Starbucks blueberry muffin had 580 calories (not the 420 calories it was said to have), a peach apple tart at The 'Bucks had 280 calories (not 120), and a Dunkin' Donuts Flatbread sandwich had 460 calories (not 360)! Click here for all the details. And remember: 1. If something SEEMS too good to be true, it probably is, and 2. Don't ask for the largest muffin in the case and expect it to have the same calories as a smaller one! ***And speaking of Starbucks calorie fiascos, looks like our beloved Spinach, Roasted Tomato, Feta & Egg Wrap now has slightly higher nutritional stats -- 270 calories, 11g fat, and a POINTS® value of 6*. (Exact stats may vary in certain markets.) Still worth it... and a bit more realistic! ***While we're on the subject of calories, check out the latest from our friends over at CalorieKing. The 2009 edition of The CalorieKing Calorie Fat & Carbohydrate Counteris here. And it's gooooood. Cute, colorful, and purse-friendly in size, this thing is packed with gazillions of useful stats for pretty much everything under the sun, including super-specific products and tons of restaurant menu items. AND it's a steal, at around nine bucks. We likey! That's all we've got. HG out!
