Here are our latest guilt-free obsessions.  FYI, this is a particularly great batch of food finds...so pay close attention!

 

T. Marzetti's Caramel Apple Dip - Light/Fat Free

Seems dipping apples in caramel is all the rage these days, but did you know that caramel dip isn't just for apples?  Once we got our paws on T. Marzetti's Caramel Apple Light Dip (or fat free -- they make both kinds), we decided there was an endless array of possibilities for it, and it became our sticky new best friend!  Sure you can dunk your apple slices in it, but we suggest you get a little more creative.  Put a teaspoon (about 25 - 30 calories) in your hot cocoa or hot sugar free cider and your head will spin with glee!  Or melt a little bit onto your ice cream or on a Deep Chocolate Vitamuffin. This stuff is sinfully good and, if used with caution, completely guilt-free!  A large serving has between 100-130 calories and 0 - 2g of fat.

Nana's Cookies - Sunflower

Cookies for breakfast?  We highly recommend it!  Well, one cookie in particular.  Nana's Sunflower Cookie is fruit juice sweetened, contains no refined sugar, no hydrogenated oils, no cholesterol, no eggs, no dairy and no sodium, yet it's the best cookie on the planet!  But here's the really incredible news:  This cookie is TREMENDOUS, it's chunky, it's chewy and it's sooo goood!  Though one serving is supposed to be half  a cookie, we like eating the ENTIRE thing as a morning meal.  The whole cookie contains 200 calories, 8g of fat and 4g of fiber.  If you like oaty-flavored treats, this cookie will change your life.  Look for it at Whole Foods and at healthycrowd.com.

Joseph Campione's Light Texas Toast 

Are you the kind of person who believes garlic bread is a definite no-no?  Think it's simply not possible to partake in a piece of thick, crusty, buttery bread?  Change the way you think, because a carb-lovin' breadtastic genius named Joseph Campione has saved the day!  His new Light Texas Toast is as good as any frozen garlic bread we've ever tasted, except it has only 65 calories, 2g of fat and 2g of fiber per piece.  Yowsa!


Dr. Praeger's Broccoli Pancakes

Oh, Dr. Praeger, we've got such a crush on you!  We're still completely obsessed with your veggie burgers, but our latest discovery from your stable of natural, healthy products is your broccoli pancakes.  They taste just like those potato pancakes your grandma (or favorite deli) used to make, and they've got chunky hunks of broccoli thrown in for good measure.  At just 40 calories (and 4 net carbs) apiece, you can feel free to indulge in one --  or three.  Spoon some applesauce on top and they're even better.   Mmmmmmm!
