Again with the frozen treats in the middle of winter?  What is WITH us?!  We LOVE icy treats.  Plain & simple.  Our latest discovery is PhillySwirl's Sugar Free Swirl Stix. They're delicious, GORGEOUS and come in flavors like Cotton Candy, Hurricane, and Paradise Punch.  They have a smooth, almost slushy texture -- unlike every other icy sugar free pop we've ever tried.  IMPRESSIVE!   And if, like us, you have a fear of icky aftertastes, no need to worry.  No gross, fake-sweetener remnants to be found here.  And here's the best part:  Each has just 10 calories and 1 gram of fiber.  If you're counting points on Weight Watchers you can have SIX of these and it's ZERO points.  And if you really wanna go crazy, 12 of these babies are just 1 point!  So swirl it up!  Hungry Girl Alert:  These pops are hard to find. Look for them at Sam's Club or Costco.

 

Gardenburger Meatless Riblets

We are true carnivores.  And we like nothing more than to stick our heads in a giant plate of saucy ribs.  Yum!  But a loss of total control like that can set you back about a thousand calories if you're not careful.  If you love ribs, give these soy-based BBQ sauced swaps a try.  Gardenburger has done an awesome job with their rib substitute.  Even the name is cute: "Riblets." (Tee hee).  But forget the adorable name -- they TASTE fantastic!  Eat them alone, or nestle one in a wonder light bun and top it with rinsed cole slaw (a little trick to get rid of the fatty mayo).  Tony Roma, eat your heart out!

 

LARABAR - Cherry Pie

As you well know, Hungry Girl isn't all about "whole, natural foods."  We enjoy our  fair share of packaged, processed foods (face it, some of them are pretty good).  Larabars are particularly exciting to us because they not only taste phenomenal, but they are completely 100% natural!  Their Cherry Pie bar is made from three simple things -- Cherries, almonds and dates.  That's it.  Nothing else.  The result is an unbelievably addictive, tart, chewy masterpiece, packed with 16 vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  Brilliant!  Lara, you've raised the bar.

We're water junkies who tend to avoid carbonated beverages.  So the fact that the title "find of the month" has been bestowed upon a diet soda is pretty remarkable.   However, this bubbly beverage deserves it.  Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper has recently been released nationally, and we think it's the best calorie-free soda to hit store shelves since, well, the beginning of fizz.  Don't expect an overly vanilla-ish soda here, people.  You'll be disappointed.  What you'll get with this snazzy soft drink is a smooth, sweet, mellow Dr. Pepper flavor with a hint of vanilla goodness.  We're hooked.
