Dear Hungry Girl,

I have been reading a lot about Enova oil. What's up with this stuff?

Eager to Learn About Enova

Dear Eager,

Enova oil is made up of diglycerides or DGs (naturally occurring fats), as opposed to the triglyceride fat molecules found in other oils.  Its developers claim that this fancy new oil is digested and burned for energy quickly, so it won't attach itself to your hips and thighs like other oils seem to do. That sounds great, but unfortunately there isn't much evidence to back up those claims just yet.  As far as being effective for weight loss, some experts say that because Enova is made up of DGs, it may be more filling than regular oil, and therefore cause you to eat less food (not a bad thing if you're dieting).  In any case, this oil isn't some sort of magical weight-loss aid that'll have you in a bikini by Friday (sorry), but it's something to keep an eye out for.  I'll keep you posted as more news develops.

Dear Hungry Girl,

I saw you on Soap Talk and can't remember the name of those brownies you talked about.  What are they called and where can I find them?

Brownie-Lover
Dear Brownie-Lover,

Since that Soap Talk appearance I've received dozens of letters from people asking about those brownies.  They've caused quite a stir!  In fact, after the segment was taped everyone ran over and devoured the rest of them.  Who can blame them?  Those things are unbelievably good!  They're made by a company called No Pudge! and they come in a cute box with a skinny pig on it. (And if a pig can eat these and stay thin, sign me up!)  The brownies come in several flavors including Original, Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate Mint and Cappuccino.  And each serving has just 110 calories and no fat.  You can find them at Trader Joe's, Whole foods and select supermarkets around the country.  Or you can order them online.  Warning: it's easy to eat 4 servings at a time, so be VERY careful with these things. I mean it.  Happy brownie-ing!
