I have been obsessing over those Fabe's donuts you wrote about a few weeks ago, but I can't find them anywhere. Please help me, Hungry Girl!
Dying for Donuts
Dear Dying for Donuts,
Few things have caused as much of a stir as that Maple Dusted Donut from Fabe's All Natural Bakery. Based on the number of donut-related emails I've received since I wrote about them, it looks like everyone wants to get their hands (and teeth) on these 80-calorie, 1g-of-fat delights. Though available at some Whole Foods locations, donut sightings have been scarce. There were even rumors floating around that these hard-to-find treats were going to be (gasp!) discontinued. Good news, people. Thanks to Hungry Girl, THEY'RE AVAILABLE ONLINE NOW! And I recommend you get 'em FAST because they're selling out quickly. Good luck! Guess I helped a "hole" lot. Teehee.
Dear Hungry Girl,
I love popcorn as a light snack (sans butter, of course!). I use popcorn seasonings all the time, but my seasonings fall to the bottom of the bowl. Do you have any suggestions for how to make my seasonings stick to my popcorn, without using butter? Thanks!
Dear Popcorn Problems,
I have experienced the exact same dilemma -- I sprinkle my popcorn with some yummy calorie-free flavorings, and they all fall to the bottom of the bowl. Frustrating! There are a few ways to combat this problem. Number one: Try spritzing your popcorn with "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray" first. It has a great buttery flavor and it helps "grab" the seasonings. You can also try sprinkling the seasonings on your popcorn, covering it, and putting it back in the the microwave for about 10 seconds. The steam sometimes helps the seasonings cling to the popcorn. I've found both of these tricks helpful. Good luck!
CHEW ON THIS: Today, February 23rd, is National Banana Bread Day. We found a low cal recipe. Look!
