TASTYKAKE GETS SENSIBLE

Believe it or not, Tastykake, the Philadelphia-based snackmasters behind Krimpets, Kandy Kakes, Juniors and Creamies are the latest flour-mongers to cave in and go low carb. Though boringly named, Tastykake's "Sensables," (yes, that's supposed to be an "a") the low carb baked goods line  will consist of yum-tastic goodies  like plain and chocolate donuts, chocolate and chocolate chip cookie bars, and orange and chocolate chip finger cakes. Instead of sugar and high fructose corn syrup, the new snacks will contain sucralose and malitol. Keep checking www.tastykake.com for details.
HERE, KITTY KITTY...

47 Kit Kats are eaten every second in the UK,  so it's no surprise that they decided to release a new low carbohydrate version of the candy bar in Britain. The new carbed-down rendition of the famous wafer bar contains just 4 carbs instead of the usual 13, and from what we hear, it's FABULOUS.  No word yet if the treat will be released here, so if travelling to England for a candy bar seems extreme, you can try the Atkins Endulge Wafer Crisp bars. They taste an awful lot like Kit Kats...
BITING OFF MORE THAN YOU CAN CHEW

Believe it or not, there's a new diet device on the market that actually forces you to take smaller bites and therefore consume less food. For about $400.00, your dentist can take a mold of your mouth and present you with a doo-hickey you wear while you eat. The "item" acts as a barrier and prevents you from taking huge bites of food. It also makes it more cumbersome to eat. A recent study showed that 24 overweight adults lost an average of six pounds within a month of using this thing. Not bad, but what's next, a new diet "aid" that knocks your teeth out making it impossible to chew?
BREAKING NEWS FOR FRY-LOVERS

If you're a french fry fan, you'll be happy to know that the worlds first-ever zero-grams trans fat fries have been released.  So far they're only being distributed to schools, but there's talk of  these "Infinity Fries" becoming available  at fast food restaurants like McDonald's & KFC.  Yay!
  CHEW ON THIS:
June is National Frozen Yogurt Month! But be careful not to over indulge on frozen yogurt. While Frozen Yogurt has less fat and calories than regular ice cream, it still has lots of sugar and carbs.
