Fast food, fast weightloss?
Eat McDonald's, Lose Weight!
"Super Size Me," a movie that documented writer/director Morgan Spurlock's 30 day McDonald's chewfest, focused on how the filmmaker's drive thru diet caused him to pack on major pounds. Fast food fans, though, have been quick to point out that the documentary showcased the fast food chain in an unfair light, and are trying to prove Morgan's anti-McDonald's stance wrong. Over the past year, several people have gone on diets consisting of NOTHING but McDonald's foods, and LOST lots of weight. Some have even lost over 30 lbs. So what does all this prove? That the problem isn't necessarily with what's on the menu, but rather with the choices people make. Pssst... in case you missed it, here's a link to HG's Chew & Tell: McDonald's review. It can help get you on the right track!
Flavor Sprays Enhance Food
David Burke, award-winning chef, author, inventor, restauranteur and entrepreneur (wow, with a resume like that we're shocked that we haven't heard of him), has launched a new line of flavor sprays. What are flavor sprays, you ask? They're calorie-free, fat-free, carb-free, cholesterol-free flavors that you spritz directly onto your food to add some intense flavor, yet none of the guilt! There are over 18 varieties in all, including Memphis BBQ, Strawberry Shortcake, Hot & Sour, and Chocolate Fudge. You can find more info about these interesting food enhancements at flavorspraydiet.com. And, hey, if you don't like the way they taste, at least you can douse yourself in 'em and smell like your favorite food!
