BACARDI TAKES ON CARBS & CALORIES...
Is your life lacking some sort of new cherry-licious, low-carb alcoholic beverage? This could be your lucky day! Anheuser-Busch's new Bacardi Silver Low-Carb Black Cherry has arrived. Each sweet & tangy 12 oz. serving contains just 96 calories, roughly two-and-a-half carbs and tons of black cherry & vanilla deliciousness! And with 4% alcohol it'll give you a nice little buzz. Weeeeeeee!
HIT THE BEACH
Kraft foods recently announced that it will partner with South Beach Diet guru Dr. Arthur Agaston and release a line of foods under the South Beach name. No details yet, but don't expect this to be yet another line of low carb stuff (yawn). The good doc insists his diet is NOT a low carb or low fat plan, but merely a plan that helps you rely on the right carbs and the right fats. More details as they come.
FOR THE BIRDS (IF THEY'RE WATCHING THEIR CARBS)
Finally, a line of frozen meals that isn't packed with unnecessary starches. No offense to noodles, but rigatoni and spaghetti not only add carbohydrates, but also make calories rack up insanely fast, too. Luckily our friends at Birds Eye have come up with a brilliant plan that satisfies low carb and low calorie counters alike. Their new Voila! frozen meals focus on meat, veggies and fun sauces, while leaving pesky pasta out of the picture. Yay!
BURN, BABY, BURN!
There's been speculation about this for years, but there's new evidence that shows red pepper may be instrumental in burning fat. Hmmm... if red pepper really does burn fat, does this mean we should fill our bathtubs with tons of red pepper and roll around in it, naked? Just thinkin' out loud.
CHEW ON THIS: Don't change into your PJ's or comfy clothes until after dinner. When you're wearing something more form-fitting you're more conscious of your body and, consequently, what you're putting into it.
