DREYER'S GRAND LIGHT FRENCH VANILLA |
A CREAM COME TRUE |
There's a lot of competititon in "diet-friendly" ice cream world these days. If you want to stand out, you've got to offer something special. To say Dreyer's has succeeded at this would be an understatement. Their line of slow-churned light ice cream is by far the BEST reduced fat/calorie ice cream we have ever tasted (and we've tasted them all!). There's not much more to say other than the fact that whatever their special "slow churning" process is, it makes their ice cream as creamy as the real thing, but with a fraction of the fat! Keep up the good work! |

HAAGEN-DAZS FRENCH VANILLA MOUSSE |
A FROZEN FATFEST |
Leave it to Haagen-Dazs to squeeze 20 grams of fat into a tiny little 4 oz. serving of ice cream. The stuff tastes good, no doubt, but their French Vanilla Mousse is unbelievably high in fat and calories. Although the serving size is 1/2 cup, typically people consume TWICE that amount in one sitting. That adds up to 620 calories and 40 grams of fat - about the same as a Bacon Double Cheeseburger at Burger King! You'd have to ride your bicycle 20 miles at 15 mph to burn off that damage. Um, no thanks! |
