There's only one way to put this. WE ROCK. Our super-chocolatey Frozen Fudge Chip Freeze is phenomenal, not only because it has less than a third the calories and a quarter of the fat of Starbucks' Double Chocolate Chip Blended Frappuccino Creme, but because it actually tastes BETTER, too. We're not even gonna waste time blabbing about it. Here's the recipe. Try it out for yourself.
/fontfamily>Ingredients: 1 packet diet hot chocolate mix, dissolved in 4 oz warm water 1 Tbsp sugar free chocolate syrup 2 oz. light vanilla soy milk 3 Splenda packets 1 Tbsp of mini chocolate chips 7-8 ice cubes Fat Free Reddi-Wip/fontfamily>
Directions: Place dissolved cocoa, chocolate syrup, Splenda, chips, soy milk and ice in a blender. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds. Pour into an attractive cup and top with a little Fat Free Reddi-Wip. Enjoy!
Starbucks' Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino Blended Creme is ridiculous. A Tall-sized one of these freakish frozen whipped cream-topped nightmares has an insane 430 calories and 17g of fat. That's 430 calories and 17 grams of fat for a measley 12 ounces! Even worse is the fact that it really doesn't taste all that good. How can that be, you ask? We're not exactly sure, but if you're up for an adventure, do a side by side taste test of the two drinks and see for yourself. Starbucks' sickeningly-sweet-but-not-creamy-enough Frap is a real letdown. Don't bother with it. And if you happen to be behind someone in line who orders one of these things, feel free to snicker quietly to yourself. Pointing and laughing works, too./fontfamily>
CHEW ON THIS: Today, February 28th, is National Pancake Day. In celebration, IHOP is serving up free short stacks of pancakes today, while supplies last. FYI a short stack has just 330 calories and 9g fat. Not terrible. Just watch out for those toppings...
