Jamba Juice Matcha Green Tea Mist |
GO FOR THE GREEN! |
Don't let the peculiar color (alien green!) fool you; this slightly lumpy yet insanely delicious treat from our friends at Jamba Juice tastes like a creamy, green tea milkshake. The Matcha Green Tea Mist is an enlightened spin on their higher-calorie Green Tea Blast, but there's not a chance you'll miss the extra calories and fat grams. Made with sorbet, lower-calorie dairy base, ice, soymilk & matcha green tea, it is the perfect velvety balance of icy and creamy. The best-tasting of all of Jamba Juice's Enlightened Smoothies, "The Mist" (our little pet name for it) tastes like a decadent dessert. And with only 190 calories and no fat, feel free to indulge on a regular basis. Weeeee!
HG HEADS UP! This item has been removed from the regular menu and is now a "special order" drink. Just ask for it and they'll make it...

Starbucks Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Crème with Melon Syrup |
TEA-OFF! |
Well, we give Starbucks credit for trying. Theyve shown a definite effort to make some better-for-you frozen concoctions of late (good work on the Tangerine Frappuccino Juice Blend, guys!). But this green tea catastrophe doesnt quite cut it. Aside from the fact that it contains more than twice the calories of Jambas version, it doesnt even taste as good. While Jamba offers a creamy dessert-like smoothie, Starbucks' frap tastes more like flavored milk. And if you slip up and say yes to the whipped cream they offer (oops!), the nutritionals climb to an astonishing button-popping 550 calories and 15 grams of fat! Skip it...don't sip it. |
