Berry Hot Cocoa OR Citrus Christmas Cocoa

(Entire recipe: Approx. 27 calories, 0g fat, 200mg sodium, 4g carbs, 1g fiber, 2g sugars, 2g protein = 0 Points!)

We liked both versions of this fruity cocoa so much that we couldn’t pick just one! 
 

Ingredients:

1/4 tsp. Crystal Light, Raspberry Ice OR Sunrise Classic Orange

1 packet Swiss Miss Diet Hot Cocoa Mix (or another 25-calorie diet cocoa mix)
6 oz. very hot water

 

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a mug and stir until completely blended.  Serves 1.

 

Pumpkin Crème Dream

(Entire recipe: Approx. 50 calories, 2.5g fat, 138mg sodium, 6g carbs, 2g fiber, 1g sugars, 1g protein = 1 Point!)

 
This sweet 'n creamy holiday treat was born when some of our favorite stuff jumped into a pot together.  Woohoo!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. canned pure pumpkin

6 oz. Almond Breeze, Unsweetened Vanilla (or light vanilla soymilk*)

1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp. cornstarch

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

no-calorie sweetener (such as SPLENDA); to taste

 

Directions:

In a small pot, combine all ingredients (except for sweetener) and stir well.  Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.  Once mixture begins to froth, continue to boil for 1 minute.  Remove from heat and pour into a mug.  Allow to cool slightly.  Sweeten liberally with your no-cal sweetener of choice and enjoy. Serves 1.

HG’s Hot Cran-Apple Cider

(Entire recipe: 20 calories, 0g fat, 80mg sodium, 6g carbs, 0g fiber, 2g sugars, 0g protein = 0 Points!)

This traditional holiday sip gets a makeover, courtesy of a cranberry quencher that won’t add obnoxious amounts of calories to your spiced cider!

 

Ingredients:

8 oz. Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Spray

1 pouch Alpine Sugar-Free Spiced Cider Mix

Optional: 1 cinnamon stick 

 

Directions:

Simply heat cranberry drink stovetop or in the microwave until very hot.  Stir in cider mix (use the cinnamon stick!) until dissolved.  Sip away!  Serves 1.  

 


CHEW ON THIS:

Today, December 21st, is California Kiwifruit Day. A serving of two kiwifruit has twice the vitamin C of an orange (230% of the RDA) and about 5g of fiber. Woohoo!
