Your Big Break!
Your Big Break!
Starring...YOU!

How would YOU like to be the star of a super-secret, hush-hush new reality series on a MAJOR TV NETWORK? The producers of ABC's SUPERNANNY are looking for people who want to tackle physical and mental challenges and compete to win HUGE amounts of money -- all while losing weight and becoming famous TV celebs.  Sweet gig! If you've got a sizeable amount of weight to lose and think you're up for it, you need to click here and apply. Do this ASAP -- they're casting right now. Follow all directions carefully, and don't forget to tell 'em Hungry Girl sent you. Good luck!!!

Chubby Pet Alert!

Childhood obesity isn't the only weighty problem our country is facing these days. There are over 48 million overweight or obese cats and dogs in the U.S. now (scarily, that's about 35% of the total pet population!). To raise awareness about this growing problem, Hill's Pet Nutrition (the makers of Science Diet) will launch the 2007 Hill's PetFit Challenge Mobile Tour -- an interactive experience offering people a chance to weigh their pets and get info and tips from experts. The tour will hit six cities between now and June 16th. Click here for all the details -- and here to find out more about kooky doggie treadmills.

Kashi-licious!

Spotted On Shelves...

New Kashi Frozen Entrees - If you dig Kashi's original six frozen meals, you'll flip for their new Lemongrass Coconut Chicken, Pesto Pasta Primavera and Chicken Florentine. Available RIGHT NOW -- and each has just 290 - 300 calories, 8 - 11 grams of fat and lots of fiber. YES!

Disney Milk Magic - These crazy sticks may be hard to find, but with just 5 calories each for these insanely delicious packets of fun (flavors include Chocolate Malt, Vanilla, Strawberry and more!), it is absolutely worth calling a zillion stores (or even driving to another state!) for these things. Add them to milk, or use in recipes. We're obsessed.

Aquafina Alive - Flavored water alert! Aquafina Alive actually tastes more like a deliciously fruity sugar-free drink than flavored water, but the stuff's got vitamins, a splash of fruit juice, just 10 calories a serving and gosh darn it, it has our love, too. Sniff, sniff.

The Buzz...

Want to cook but don't have the time, energy or motivation to stock your kitchen and become a happy homemaker? Visit a Dream Dinners location and whip up home-cooked meals that can be frozen and sooo easily stored. Keep in mind, you CAN make some fatty, high-cal stuff there (it's not a DIETY place per se), but they make the nutritional info available and you can easily leave out the ingredients you're not interested in. In short, Dream Dinners ROCKS! Click here to see if there are any DD locations where you live. ***A new study out of France claims that grape juice can have heart-healthy effects similar to red wine, IF it has a high level of polyphenols. The trouble is, it's difficult to figure out which grape juices are HIGH in polyphenols, making this info, well, interesting but not all that helpful. Click here for more info. ***Chocolate Alert! Life Chocolate Oat Crunch (the new cereal from Quaker) has a brand-new mini site complete with downloadable coupons, advice from a chocolate expert (not kidding), and a chance to win a chocolate-packed trip to NY (including a chocolate-themed spa visit). Click here to check it out -- but we have to warn you -- it'll put you in the mood for the sweet stuff, so be careful. That's all we've got. HG out!
