You had mentioned doing a cookbook a while back and I want to know if there's any news regarding this. I'm dying to get my hands on an HG cookbook!
Ready for a Recipe Book
Yes! Finally, I have some book news for you. The first official Hungry Girl book is going to be published by (drumroll...please!) St. Martin's Press, and it will (hopefully) be out in the Spring 2008 (I know, that's a year away...sorry!). I am super-excited about this book and we are plugging away on it over here at the HG HQ. It'll be packed with TONS of recipes -- new ones and classic Hungry Girl faves -- and it'll also have tips, tricks, survival guides, shockers, and much more! The book may even include some recipes generated or inspired by subscribers, so please PLEASE feel free to send in any of your favorite personal creations. Once you send 'em, we own 'em, so only send what you're willing to part with. If we use one, you may receive a little HG surprise from us -- so get in on the fun and send your ideas and recipes. Thanks!!!
Dear Hungry Girl,
What, in your opinion, is the best way to make exercising fun? I despise it!
Dear Sweating Sucks,
I feel your pain. I, too, HATE to exercise. But while I hate to exercise, I force myself to do it -- a lot! Because it's the key to losing body fat or maintaining weight loss when you want to splurge and eat the foods you love. To get myself through tedious workouts, I try to make myself forget what I'm doing. Music is a great way to get your mind off of the monotony of the elliptical machine or treadmill. Some great songs to sweat to are "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall, and the oldie-but-goodie "Good Vibrations" by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. The super-fast-paced music will get you moving faster (and burning more calories) without noticing it! I also like to watch movies while walking on the treadmill (romantic comedies are a GREAT distraction). Another great distraction? Hand-held poker machines. Yes, I'm a huge nerd; but those things are actually fun. Happy sweating!
CHEW ON THIS:
Today, March 14th, is National Potato Chip Day. Whoop it up with some Kettle Bakes Potato Chips instead of other fatty chips...Yay!
