You probably already know this, but we wanted to make absolutely SURE you were all aware of the fact that there has been a Veggie Booty recall. The popular snack made by Robert's American Gourmet, Inc. has been found to contain a Chinese seasoning that was contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. In addition to Veggie Booty, the company has also recalled their Super Veggie Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks, which are also sprinkled with this potentially tainted seasoning. You may recall Robert's American was "outed" by our pals over at Good Housekeeping in 2002 for having WAY more fat and calories in some of their snacks (Pirate's Booty & Veggie Booty) than the labels stated. Not a good decade for Robert's American Gourmet. You may want to consider switching to Pop Chips. Just a thought...
