You asked for it... The ultimate ice cream sandwich battle -- Skinny Cow vs. Weight Watchers. Who will win?!
Skinny Cow is the mother of the guilt-free circular ice cream sandwich. Everyone knows that. But now the competition is heating up, and everyone under the sun is making reduced-calorie round ice cream sandwiches. Today, SC is going head-to-head with WW. Which creamy, frozen flying saucer will win?! Read on to find out...

THE CONTENDERS

Weight Watchers Round Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
Weighing in at 140 calories, 2g fat, 140mg sodium, 32g carbs, 4g fiber, 12g sugars, 3g protein and 2 POINTS!

The Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
Weighing in at 140 calories, 1.5g fat, 90mg sodium, 30g carbs, 3g fiber, 15g sugars, 3g protein and 2 POINTS!

PACKAGING

Weight Watchers Round Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
These come 6 to a box, and are individually wrapped to ensure that your sandwiches stay super-fresh. Nice touch.

The Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
These also come 6 to a package, but the sandwiches sit in a little plastic container that doesn't like to remain closed. When it opens, your sandwiches (which aren't individually wrapped) are exposed to the cold air, which causes them to get that icky "freezer burn" taste (and feel) fairly quickly and easily. Bummer!

The Winner: Weight Watchers. No one likes freezer burn.

THE LOOK/SIZE

Weight Watchers Round Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
They're pretty standard looking. Nothing gorgeous. And the one we tested weighed in at 77g.

The Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
Awesome branding with the Skinny Cow logo imprinted on the sandwich cookie. Woohoo! And the one we weighed clocked in at 70g.

The Winner: The embossed cookie rocks, but when it comes to ice cream sandwiches, size matters. WW takes this round, too!

TASTE

Weight Watchers Round Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
They taste great. The ice cream is super-creamy, and the chocolate cookie is excellent. Yum!

The Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
Also great-tasting. The ice cream is slightly less creamy than WW's, but the chocolate cookie is fantastic.

The Winner: Creamier ice cream takes it. Weight Watchers is three for three! Don't get us wrong -- they only won this round by a hair! (And please excuse us for mentioning hair and ice cream just words apart.)

NUTRITIONALS

Weight Watchers Round Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
These have the same number of calories as the SC ones, with a half-gram more fat. They also have 50mg more sodium, a couple more carbs (2g), 3 fewer grams of sugar, and a whole extra gram of fiber. The rest of the stats are identical.

The Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla
Again -- less fiber (1g), slightly lower in fat, less sodium, fewer carbs and more sugar grams (but not by many).

The Winner: Oy! Our heads are spinning. One is smaller and has less fat. One is larger and has more fiber. Calories and POINTS are the same. This category ends in a TIE!

AND THE WINNER IS...

WEIGHT WATCHERS!!!! But here's the deal. Both Skinny Cow and Weight Watchers vanilla ice cream sandwiches ROCK OUR SOCKS!!! They're both fantastic, and we say it might be a good idea to just buy whichever one is on sale that day. Also, keep in mind that Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches come in oodles of flavors like Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Mint, Coffee and more. WW's version comes in Chocolate and Vanilla. These ice cream sandwiches are both winners as far as we're concerned. Congratulations to both of today's chilly competitors...
