Oscar Mayer Fat Free Bologna

Oscar Winner

When was the last time you ate bologna? Was it back when you were a carefree kid and didn't have to worry about anything -- including how much fat and calories were in bologna?  Why have you been avoiding it?  Too unhealthy?  Too uncool?  Either way, we'd like to see salami's nerdy little brother make a comeback.  We don't recommend overdosing on processed deli meats made with nitrates, but it's o.k. to splurge on this turkey-based bologna every now and then.  Live a little.

Oscar Mayer Bologna

Phony Baloney

Hey, Oscar!  You hit a homerun with your fat free bologna but you really struck out with this fatty deli disaster.  Who can justify taking in 90 calories and 8 grams of fat in one measley piece?  Yikes!  An average sandwich contains at least 5 slices.  That's 450 calories and 40 grams of fat -- without the bread!  So, unless you're a Sumo wrestler, do yourself a favor and leave this lardy lunchmeat on the supermarket shelf.  Opt for Oscar Mayer's Fat Free version instead.
