Crystal Light Frozen Pops - Temperatures are heating up and so is the
competition in the freezer aisle. This freezy find is really good, and we hope
it sticks around for a long time. In a slew of classic Crystal Light flavors --
Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Peach Ice Tea, Classic Orange, Cherry
Pomegranate, and more -- these pops are fat-free and sugar-free, and they
have just 15 calories and 4g carbs each (POINTS® value 0*). With stats that

Ocean Spray Instant Oatmeal with Cranberries - Our pals over at Ocean
Spray are getting VERY creative with their cranberries. Now they've gone
and used them to make some clever instant oatmeal flavors -- Cranberry,
Cranberry Honey Multigrain, Cranberry Pomegranate, and Cranberry Orange
Muffin. A+ for originality, guys! Each pack has 160 calories, 2g fat, 32 - 33g

Oreo Wafer Sticks Fun Stix - Crispy cookie alert!!! Each package has two
LOOOOONG, Oreo-ish, crème-lined sticks for just 90 calories, 3.5g fat, and
13g carbs (POINTS® value 2*). These come in original chocolate Oreo (yum)
and Golden Oreo (yummer!). They're JUST starting to hit store shelves (and
are worth seeking out!).

Are You in CALORIE DENIAL?
We learned some interesting things recently, and now we're sharing them. A
while back, we reported on a study that indicated people in NYC are paying
attention to newly posted calorie counts on menus and ordering smarter.
Yay, right? Well, before you get all excited, check this out. A new study out
of Yale found that out of 4,311 people who visited Starbucks, Burger King, Au
Bon Pain, or McDonald's, only a ridiculously pathetic number of them (six...
yes, SIX!) took the time to find out the calorie counts in foods before
ordering. Granted, the info wasn't right in front of their faces on the menus --
it was posted on walls, printed in pamphlets, or available at computer
stations inside the restaurants. But still -- SIX people out of 4,311 is 0.1%.
POINT ONE PERCENT! That is sad, humans, especially considering that a
meal out can contain enough fat for three days if you're not careful. So what
is it? Are people lazy? In denial? Unaware? Whatever it is, we need to do
what we can to change that. Restaurants need to make it WELL KNOWN that
their nutritionals are available. And everyone needs to remember to seek
this info out when visiting fast-food joints. Don't be all "out of sight, out of
mind" about it -- if you don't see the nutritional stats, ASK for 'em!
We've been saying it for years -- DON'T DRINK YOUR CALORIES. In a
recently published study of 800+ people, researchers examined the
relationship between beverage consumption and weight loss. They found that
liquid calorie intake had a stronger impact on weight than solid calorie intake.
The bottom line is this: If you stop drinking sugary beverages, you will likely
lose weight. If you drink too many calorie-packed drinks, you'll likely gain

Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Salad (390 calories, 27g fat). The b-fast items
(served all day) are an Egg White Sandwich with Turkey Sausage (400
calories, 5 - 7g fat) and an Egg White Florentine Wedge with Turkey Sausage
(390 calories, 18g fat). Depending on fiber content, each Lighter Fare
selection has a POINTS® value of 7 - 10*. (Save fat by asking for any
dressing or spread on the side... then don't use it all!) Tried 'em? Like 'em?
