***ATTENTION TEXT-ONLY HG SUBSCRIBERS (this means YOU!): Since only
a tiny fraction of our audience receives our emails in text-only form, and the
emails look so much better designed in HTML, we have decided to stop
sending out the text-only versions of Hungry Girl newsletters. This change
will happen in the very near future. Keep an eye out for the HTML versions in
your inbox... coming soon!***
This is the text version of Hungry Girl.

NEW to CHEW...
Special K Fruit Crisps and Low Fat Granola - Our pals at Special K have been
busy! Check out these new products... In Blueberry and Strawberry, the K's
Fruit Crisps are suspiciously similar to Newtons Fruit Crisps. (OK, they pretty
much ARE them -- but who cares, they ROCK.) Each 2-crisp pack of Special
K's version has 100 calories, 2g fat, 65 - 80mg sodium, 19 - 20g carbs, <1g
fiber, 7g sugars, and 1g protein (POINTS® value 2*). There's also new
Touch of Honey Low Fat Granola, with 190 calories, 3g fat, 120mg sodium,
39g carbs, 5g fiber, 9g sugars, and 6g protein (POINTS® value 3*) per 3/4-
cup serving (without milk). Both worth seeking out. Crunch, crunch!
The Skinny Cow Truffle Bars, White Mint and Caramel - We still love the two
original flavors of these ice cream treats -- French Vanilla and Chocolate --
but the new varieties are definitely welcome additions to the lineup. Each bar-
on-a-stick has 100 calories, 2.5g fat, 45 - 50mg sodium, 19g carbs, 3g fiber,
12g sugars, and 3g protein (POINTS® value 2*). Keep it up, Cow!
Planters NUTrition Chewy Nut Bars and New No-Sodium Mixes - Planters'
brand-new NUTrition bars come in Energy (Honey Roasted Peanuts,
Almonds, and Chocolate) and Heart Healthy (Cranberry Almond Peanut),
each with 160 - 170 calories, 8 - 9g fat, 130 - 170mg sodium, 17 - 19g carbs,
2 - 3g fiber, 9 - 10g sugars, and 5g protein (POINTS® value 3 - 4*). And the
two new mixes -- Omega-3 and Antioxidant -- are salt-free and packed with
stuff like cashews, blueberries, chocolate-covered soy nuts, cranberries, and
almonds. Those have 160 calories, 10 - 11g fat, and a POINTS® value of 4*
per 1/4-cup serving. SCORE!
NEW to Make You MOVE...
Bob Greene: Total Body Makeover - Yup, that's the Oprah guy, and our CPP
(close personal pal)! This DVD features a customizable eight-week workout
program that'll have you exercising at your own level three times a week.
There are flexibility segments, strength training exercises, and more. He
covers it all. Go, Bob!
Nintendo Wii EA Sports Active Personal Trainer - Last year, it was the Wii Fit.
This year, you'll be clamoring to strap a controller to your leg and follow
along with your "personal trainer." A series of boredom-proof exercises will
keep you moving, and you can actually SEE how you're doing on the screen.
The avatar moves like you move, and the program will tell you if you're
doing something wrong. (Our squats were, apparently, too low. Who knew?)
Fun, fun, fun!
YRG Fitness System - That's right, it's a whole SYSTEM. Diamond Dallas Page
is a former pro wrestler who got into yoga (no, this isn't the plotline for a
movie starring The Rock) and then blended it with strength conditioning,
mixed martial arts, and Pilates. DDP takes you through his no-impact, easy-
to-follow exercises -- no fancy equipment required. It's convenient and FUN.
And in the words of Dallas, "If yoga is a bicycle then YRG is a Harley!"
