There are some fantastic-sounding new salads out in fast-food land! And
while ordering salad at a burger joint might seem like a safe bet, it can be
anything but. Luckily, we're giving a couple of lettuce-based bowls the HG

Carl's Jr. Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad - Wowsers! This new bed o' greens
is topped with grilled chicken, pineapple slices, cucumber, and red onion.
It's "served with" wonton strips and Asian dressing, and we're gonna assume
those aren't included in the stats. (The dressing alone has 120 cals and 8g
fat.) So skip 'em both and opt for the 35-calorie Low Fat Balsamic

Wendy's Apple Pecan Chicken Salad - Another enticing newbie on the salad

Welcome to a fruit-'n-veggie-filled edition of The Buzz! Wish you could meet
that special someone who enjoys veggies as much as you do? The crazies
behind quick-service restaurant Just Salad have come up with the solution:
SaladMatch.com! Find dates based on which Just Salad location you frequent
and your favorite toppings. Wow. Sadly, locations are currently limited to
NYC and Hong Kong, but this story is too cute to have passed up. ***BAD
NEWS! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, salsa
and guacamole are among the more common sources of food poisoning
when dining out -- nearly 4 percent of ALL traceable restaurant outbreaks
between 1998 and 2008 started with one of those dips. That's more than
double the amount in previous years. YIKES! However, this info might make
it a tad easier to avoid that chip basket... ***Ever wondered what your fruit
and veggies would look like if you gave 'em an MRI? OK, neither had we, but
they look COOL! Observe their (mildly creepy) beauty. ***Finally, if you
think veggies (or other food items) just don't fill you up enough, it may be all
in your head. New research from the Society for the Study of Ingestive
Behavior indicates that people who thought they were eating more reported
feeling fuller than others who believed they were consuming less... even
