BREAKING NEWS: Vitalicious Breakfast Sandwiches Are Here!
Are they morning sandwiches made of chocolate muffin tops?! No, silly! The
EggNCheese VitaSandwich -- in a standard variety and a "with Veggies"
version -- is a classic morning 'wich from the brilliant minds and taste buds
behind VitaTops. Each 4.5-oz. sandwich features a whole-wheat English
muffin and has a mere 150 calories, just 2g fat, a very reasonable 340 -
356mg sodium, 23g carbs, a whopping 7g fiber, 3g sugars, and 14 - 15g
protein (POINTS® value 2*). Click here to see how these impressive stats
stack up to those of similar sandwiches. Currently, the new b-fast treats are
not sold online, but they ARE beginning to pop up in freezer aisles at Stop &
Shop, Publix, SuperTarget, and Giant grocery stores. If you see 'em, grab a
box and try 'em out! And hold on to that box; enter the code on the inside
tab HERE, and get $5.00 off your next online Vita order. BTW, you DO know
that more and more Target locations are carrying VitaTops, right? Those
Vitalicious folks are just bursting with good news!
Bigtime product find, people! An astoundingly tasty and low-calorie swap for
queso dip that's... VEGAN?! It's true! Nacho Mom's Ultimate Vegan Queso is
really good and has just 10 fat-free calories per serving... and only 160
calories IN THE WHOLE JAR. We don't know how they did it, but we're glad
they did! Click here to order it online or, if you're lucky, find it in very select
stores. We can't believe it's not queso! ***RECALL ALERT: Several store-
brand products containing frozen green peas have been called back, as they
may contain glass fragments. Click here for all the info. ***Extra, extra! The
first 250,000 people to "like" Extra Dessert Delights gum on Facebook and
submit a request will each receive a FREE pack of the delicious gum. Just
CHEW it! ***Could too much light be causing you to pack on pounds? If
you're a mouse, the answer is yes. A recent study found that when mice
lacked a standard light/dark cycle (a.k.a. day/night sequence), their natural
metabolic signals were disrupted and weight gain occurred. Researchers
believe this could mean there's a link between exposure to nighttime light
and the current obesity issue faced by humans. So lights out at bedtime,
people! ***If you've been dreaming of Wonka-style multi-course chewing
gum since childhood, you might soon be able to taste some of that pure
imagination. Scientists at the Institute of Food Research in Norwich, England,
are planning to use new technology to make gum that goes from tasting like
tomato soup to roast beef to blueberry pie. We just hope they leave out the
part that makes you turn into a giant blueberry... ***Playing video games
could help more than your finger strength. A study from the Georgia Tech
College of Computing suggests that health-oriented games could help adults
make smarter food choices. After three weeks of playing a game that
challenges users to choose the healthiest options among various food
selections, participants began incorporating better foods into their diets.
