Yoplait Fiber One Blueberry Yogurt - New flavor alert! Our BFFs at F1 are slingin' out a new yogurt for the new year... One filled with berry bits and creaminess! As always, each 4-oz. container has 50 calories, 0g fat, 55mg sodium, 13g carbs, 5g fiber, 4g sugars, and 3g protein (PointsPlus® value 1*). It's hitting store shelves this very month! Yummmm...
The Skinny Cow Cookies 'n Cream Truffle Bars - NO, it's not too cold out to eat frozen treats. YES, we have a new one we're in love with. Our buddies at The Skinny Cow have hooked us up once more -- each of these creamy cookie-crammed treats has 110 calories, 2.5g fat, 60mg sodium, 20g carbs, 3g fiber, 12g sugars, and 3g protein (PointsPlus® value 3*). P.S. We like to eat them while wrapped in a blanket...
Morningstar Farms Biscuits - There's a new frozen alternative to fast-food b-fast sandwiches in town... and this one's MEATLESS! We've all heard the "nutritious food costs too much" argument. Well, a brand-new guide from ShopSmart outlines items that give you the most nutritional bang for your buck. The list is full of things we LOVE... Here are a few of our favorites!
Cabbage - You don't need fancy superfruits to get those buzzed-about antioxidants. For just $0.16 a serving, cabbage has vitamin A and lots of vitamin C. Hello, Cabbage Packs!
Canned Pumpkin - Our orange BFF has beta-carotene (another antioxidant), as well as a good dose of fiber. And it costs only $0.38 per serving.
Yogurt - The plain stuff has lots of calcium, protein, and digestion-friendly bacteria. And with its crazy versatility and low price point ($0.70 a serving), you've got a deal!
Popcorn - Hey, popcorn is a whole grain, people! If you get uncooked corn kernels, air-pop 'em, and munch on the popped stuff sans butter (sprinkle it with seasonings), you've got a light snack that's high in fiber and only costs $0.12 a serving!
Frozen Shrimp - We love frozen shrimp because it's lean, low in calories, and easy to work with. And it turns out the frosty crustaceans deliver omega-3 fatty acids for only $1.36 a serving.

McDonald's Fruit & Maple Oatmeal - Last year we buzzed about its 2011 nationwide release, and now it's HERE. With brown sugar, two types of raisins, two types of apples, AND dried cranberries, this oaty bowl is looking mighty fine! It has 290 calories, 4.5g fat, and a PointsPlus® value of 7*. Request it sans sugar, and you're down to 260 calories and a PointsPlus® value of 6*.
Forget fancy makeup and expensive face creams -- word is that veggies like CARROTS might do the trick. A new study suggests that carotenoids in certain foods produce yellowness in the skin. And in a related survey, respondents found people with a yellow skin hue to be particularly attractive and healthy-looking. We need carrots, STAT! ***Video heads-up! There's one on weight management, one about boosting your immune system, and even a video about what to feed those growing kids. ***Pop quiz: Do you know how many calories need to be burned in order to lose a pound of fat? Nice. ***Finally, for the extremists among us, we have the culinary equivalent of the Polar Bear Club -- winter grilling! Our tips would probably include "Wear gloves under your grilling mitts" and "Sit BY the grill to keep warm, not ON the grill -- no matter how cold you are!"
