The wrong ingredients can send your grilled cheese into the danger zone, nutritionally speaking. Here are our go-to choices... All guilt-free and delicious!



The Laughing Cow Light Cheeses - The light wedges come in so many flavors and bring AMAZING creamy taste to any grilled cheese. (Try the latest flavor, White Cheddar!) Sure, it's untraditional to use spreadable cheese in a GC sandwich, but we don't allow ourselves to be bound by tradition! Each of these wedges has only 35 calories and 1.5 - 2g fat (PointsPlus® value 1*). Go, Cow!







Kraft Skim Milk and 2% Milk Singles - Singles are an iconic choice in their own right. They're what your inner child probably craves. When your grilled cheese has lots of decadent ingredients, keep the stats low with fat-free slices, which have only 25 calories a pop (PointsPlus® value 1*). If you have a little more wiggle room, opt for 2% slices, with 45 calories and 2.5 - 3g fat each (PointsPlus® value 1*).



Light Whipped Butter or Light Buttery Spread - These fat-slashed finds are the way to go. Brummel & Brown is our absolute favorite, with 45 calories and 5g fat per tablespoon (PointsPlus® value 1*). It has loads of rich flavor and an unbelievably creamy texture. There are, however, many others out there with similar stats. Click for more info! And here's a hot buttered tip: You need only a teaspoon or two to give your sandwich that buttery crispness, as long as you start by spraying your skillet with nonstick spray. The spray will keep your sandwich from sticking, leaving the butter free to flavor up your grilled cheese!







Light Bread - Can't have grilled cheese without bread. (We're unconventional, not crazy.) Look for slices with high fiber counts and 40 - 45 calories per slice. The 45 Calories & Delightful line from Sara Lee is our hands-down favorite. Choose from White, Wheat, 100% Whole Wheat with Honey, and 100% Multi-Grain, each with 45 calories (doy!) and 0.5g fat per slice (PointsPlus® value 1*).
