The dilemma: It's hot, and you're hungry. Don't reach for fatty snack foods just 'cuz they're convenient. We've got three incredible three-ingredient recipes (a.k.a. trios) for your summertime snacking pleasure!



It's a Snap! Sesame Chicken Snack 
Entire recipe: 170 calories, 2.5g total fat (0.5g sat. fat), 335mg sodium, 12g carbs, 3g fiber, 7.5g sugars, 25.5g protein -- PointsPlus® value 4*

These three ingredients were MADE for each other! It's time for one of the best and most satisfying snacks you can whip up in a flash...


Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups halved sugar snap peas
3 oz. cooked and chopped skinless chicken breast
1 tbsp. low-fat sesame ginger dressing (like Newman's Own Lite Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing) 


Directions: 
Place all ingredients in a medium bowl, and toss to coat. Enjoy! 

MAKES 1 SERVING



HG Alternative: Not a fan of raw snap peas? No problem! Just place them in a medium microwave-safe bowl with 2 tbsp. water, and microwave for 2 minutes, or until slightly softened. Drain excess liquid, and let cool, about 15 minutes. Then toss with chicken and dressing!


Trio-licious Dessert Slush 
Entire recipe: 120 calories, 1g total fat (0g sat. fat), 5mg sodium, 30g carbs, 7g fiber, 17g sugars, 1.5g protein -- PointsPlus® value 3*

Frozen fruit can easily be converted into a spoonable dessert... Just throw it in the blender with one of our favorite juice drinks! A little extra sweetness seals the deal.


Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups unsweetened frozen mixed berries, partially thawed
1/3 cup Trop50 orange juice beverage
1 no-calorie sweetener packet (like Splenda or Truvia)



Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender, and pulse until smooth!

Caprese-Style Grilled Tomatoes 
Entire recipe: 86 calories, 3g total fat (1.5g sat. fat), 195mg sodium, 7g carbs, 2g fiber, 4g sugars, 8.5g protein -- PointsPlus® value 2*

Tomatoes and basil are summertime staples. And string cheese, well, we've ALWAYS got that on hand! This grilly-good creation will rock your socks off...




Ingredients:
1 stick light string cheese
2 tbsp. chopped fresh basil
1 large tomato
Optional seasonings: salt, black pepper, garlic powder




Directions:
Break string cheese into thirds and place in a blender or food processor -- blend at high speed until shredded. (Or pull into shreds and roughly chop.) Transfer to a small bowl, and mix with basil. 


Cut tomato in half horizontally. Carefully scoop out and discard the inside of each tomato half, leaving a hollow shell intact.


Bring a grill pan sprayed with nonstick spray to medium-high heat. 


If you like, sprinkle tomato halves with optional seasonings. Place tomato halves on the grill pan with the cut sides down. Cook until slightly softened, about 2 minutes. 


Flip tomato halves. Divide cheese-basil mixture between tomato halves. Cover (any lid will do!) and cook for 2 more minutes, or until tomato has softened and cheese is warm. Enjoy!
