Lean Cuisine Stuffed Pretzels - The pretzel craze hit fast-food restaurants hard last year, and now it's made its way to the freezer aisle! These pretzel bites come in Monterey Jack Jalapeño and Three Cheese & Spinach, and you get four per serving! Each serving has 190 - 220 calories, 3 - 4g fat, 380 - 420mg sodium, 34 - 38g carbs, 4 - 5g fiber, 6 - 7g sugars, and 6 - 7g protein (PointsPlus® value 5*). Look for these at Target, Walmart, and supermarket locations.
Kraft Natural Slim Cut Reduced Fat Cheese Slices - SCORE! These remind us of the Ultra Thin line from Sargento, and you know how we love options. Made with 2% milk, these come in Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, and Colby Jack. Eat 3 slices for 110 calories, 7 - 8g fat, 80 - 300mg sodium, 0g - 1g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, and 9 - 10g protein (PointsPlus® value 3*). That's only about 35 calories a slice! Very nice.
So Delicious Dairy Free Unsweetened Cultured Coconut Milk - No, it's not "cultured" as in "sophisticated" -- it's a yogurt-like treat produced from coconut milk! In regular Unsweetened and Unsweetened Vanilla, this is a delicious nondairy alternative for yogurt lovers. Add your no-calorie sweetener of choice, if you like. A 4-oz. serving has 50 - 60 calories, 3.5 - 4g fat, 95mg sodium, 6 - 7g carbs, 4g fiber, 1g sugars, and 0g protein (PointsPlus® value 1*). Look for 'em at Whole Foods and select grocers. (P.S. There are Greek Style varieties as well!)

The proposed changes to the nutrition labels on foods have officially been released by the White House, and they look GREAT! The calorie count is now HUGE, and the servings-per-container section is in larger, bold lettering. Also great: Serving sizes should start to become more realistic. We can't wait for the new labels to become a reality! ***Attention, Slurpee lovers and Cherry Coke enthusiasts: 7-Eleven is now serving Diet Coke Frost Cherry Slurpees! Each 20-oz. serving has just 25 calories. Yum! We can't wait to try 'em... ***In more beverage news, Miller64 will soon be one of the first US beers to feature detailed nutritional labeling, in accordance with the new voluntary guidelines issued by the federal government. A rep from MillerCoors stated that the company hopes to expand the labeling to other products too. A supermarket in the UK is also launching wine labels with calorie counts. We'll drink to that! ***If you're the kind of person who hoards spare Taco Bell sauce packets by the drawerful, we have great news. The popular Taco Bell Verde Salsa, Mild Sauce, Hot Sauce, and Fire Sauce are now being bottled and sold at grocery stores. (But those packets will still be useful to stash at work and in your glove compartment.) ***And for one final oddball note of the day, apparently the key to reducing cravings could be... Tetris? Yup. A recent study tested whether a visually based task (such as the game Tetris) could reduce cravings and craving imagery. And it did! Game on... And that's all we've got. HG out!
