Arnold Everything Sandwich Thins - The folks behind some AWESOME 100-calorie sandwich rolls are giving us everything -- literally. These bagel-inspired thins are hitting shelves NOW! Each one has 100 calories, 2g fat, 190mg sodium, 21g carbs, 5g fiber, 2g sugars, and 4g protein (PointsPlus® value 3). Find them in select major grocery retailers in the Northeast US. And starting in September, sister-brand Brownberry will launch Everything rolls in the Midwest! On a related note, West Coasters: Look for new Oroweat Organic 9 Grain with Flax and Fiber Sandwich Thins at stores like Walmart and Target.
LaCroix Natural Mango, Apricot, and Passionfruit Essenced Sparkling Waters - Make summer last as long as possible by stocking up on these seasonal sparkling waters. They're incredible! Available until late summer, each 12-oz. can is calorie-free, sugar-free, and sodium-free. Find them at Target locations ASAP. And don't worry: The other flavors in the line are available year round and in select supermarkets nationwide.
Bella Sun Luci Sun Dried Tomato Snacks - Calling these "snacks" is a little silly -- they're just flavored sun-dried tomatoes. Semantics aside, these bagged (not oil-packed) goodies ROCK! Get 'em in Slow Roasted Smokey Flavor (our fave) or Sweet Spicy BBQ Halves. They're perfect as salad toppers, sandwich ingredients... Heck, use 'em anywhere you'd use regular sun-dried tomatoes! A 0.5-oz. serving has 35 calories, 0g fat, 35 - 85mg sodium, 6g carbs, 1g fiber, 4g sugars, and 2g protein (PointsPlus® value 1*). Order online or find them in Safeway stores -- coming to more retailers in September.
HUGE NEWS: Taco Bell Rolls Out Protein-Packed Menu Nationwide!
This is BIG, people. Taco Bell has replaced its somewhat healthy Cantina Bell menu with the more impressive Cantina Power Menu! Everything on this menu has 500 calories or less and at least 15g protein. WOW. Check it out...
The Bowls: Choose from veggie, chicken (our pick!), and steak. Without any special ordering, each one has 460 - 500 calories and 19 - 22g fat (PointsPlus® value 12 - 13*)... but there's totally room to tweak! In addition to pico de gallo, they come topped with guacamole, cheese, sour cream, AND avocado ranch dressing. Ditch a couple of those heavier ingredients, and you'll slash the fat.
The Burritos: Wow, these are nearly 300 calories lighter than their Cantina Bell counterparts! Each has 430 - 470 calories and 19 - 22g fat (PointsPlus® value 11 - 12*). Just like the bowls, they're available with veggies, chicken, or steak and come with loads of toppings. Skip a topping or two, and you'll be in great shape. A burrito stuffed with chicken, lettuce, pico, and guacamole sounds pretty great to us!

Ohio State researchers discovered that ladies who reported one or more stressful events the day before eating a high-fat meal burned fewer calories than those who didn't have any stressors. This is particularly troublesome considering a new survey of more than 2,500 adults found that almost half of all respondents experienced at least one major stressful event in the past year, and about three-fourths of them indicated that their health was affected by stress. Let's all take a deep breath... ***Good news for fast-food-loving vegetarians... White Castle is testing out Veggie Sliders at select locations! Made with a Dr. Praeger's patty and topped with Avocado Ranch Sauce, each mini burger clocks in with 180 calories. Skip the sauce to save some calories and fat... Chances are, you're gonna want a couple of these! ***Who's ready for FREEKEH!? Alright, it's not as wild as it sounds. Freekeh is one of the trendy supergrains on the market these days. It's got three times as much fiber as brown rice and twice the fiber of quinoa! WOW. We spotted this brand at Whole Foods... ***Wanna ogle some really expensive food? Scope out this infographic of the world's priciest eats. Let's just say the $235 bacon sandwich looks downright cheap compared with most of the other stuff on this chart. And that's all we've got.
