Bite it!
HG's Hungry Hawaiian Pizza

Pineapple-Ham Perfection!
Welcome this tropical pizza into your life, and dismiss fatty versions that don't deserve your attention. We've got all the island-inspired fun right here on a high-fiber crust... Weeeeee!

Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
3 tbsp. canned crushed tomatoes (or HG Alternative)
1 stick light string cheese
1 high-fiber pita
1 oz. (about 2 slices) reduced-sodium 97 - 98% fat-free ham, roughly chopped
1/4 cup canned pineapple chunks packed in juice, drained and chopped
Seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.

In a small bowl, season tomatoes to taste.

Break string cheese into thirds and place in a blender or food processor -- blend at high speed until shredded. (Or pull into shreds and roughly chop.)

Lay pita on the baking sheet, and spread with seasoned tomatoes, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle with cheese, chopped ham, and chopped pineapple.

Bake until hot and lightly browned, 10 - 12 minutes. Enjoy!

Hawaiian Pizza, Average

Hawaii Uh-Oh...
Let's take a trip down memory lane to the first time you heard about pineapple as a pizza topping. Chances are, you were like, "What? Weird! No!" But then you tried it and discovered that pineapple is one of the most awesome pizza toppings ever, especially when paired with ham. And while the fruit itself is certainly healthy, the fact remains that it comes atop a slab of bread and oily cheese. So what's a Hawaiian-pizza lover to do? DIY! Our pita-bottomed pizzas are high in fiber and low in calories. And our recipe's so easy, it practically makes itself. So grab the ingredients, and whip one up. And if you want to continue the Hawaiian fun, consider this fruity tropical cocktail!
