Need help navigating the cereal and yogurt aisles? A recent Consumer Reports study compared 33 cereals and 27 Greek yogurts to determine which were the most delicious and nutritious. High rankers include Fiber One Original bran cereal (for nutrition) and Fage Total 2% (for taste). Congrats, guys! ***Here's some intriguing data from the diet world... A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association looked at nearly 50 different trials and concluded that low-carb and low-fat diets are just about equal when it comes to which is best for weight loss. The key factor that does impact weight loss? Finding a diet that the individual can actually stick to. That makes a lot of sense to us, and we humbly submit the Hungry Girl Diet for your consideration! ***More news for dieters -- research out of Tufts University finds that it is possible to retrain your brain to prefer healthy food. It's all about activating the reward system toward nutritious foods, rather than toward decadent favorites. Let the training begin... ***Trend alert: Dairy milk alternatives are taking a pretty interesting turn! Kabrita Goat Milk Yogurt and Fruit comes in squeezable pouches with just 90 - 100 calories a pop... Would you try goat-milk yogurt? And the most unusual thing we've tested at Hungryland in a while is CAMEL milk. Desert Farms sells the stuff, and it has 110 calories and 4.5g fat per cup. For adventurous sippers only. (It's weird!) ***Speaking of milk swaps, Dunkin' Donuts is now offering Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almondmilk in stores as an option for their famous coffee! Not to be outdone, Starbucks is testing coconut milk in select markets as their latest nondairy offering. Neat-o! And that's all we've got. HG out!

CHEW ON THIS:
September 15th (today) is National Linguine Day. Linguine is often served with clams and a buttery, lemony sauce. We've got a great swap for the classic dish... that doesn't actually have linguine in it. Fettuccine is close enough, you guys!
