Bigelow Salted Caramel Tea Bags - When temps get low, we hoard all the yummy, guilt-free hot-drink options we can get our mittens on. ("HG, aren't you in California?" That's beside the point.) And the fact that the salted caramel craze has hit the tea aisle is truly phenomenal news. No calories, no nothin'... Just black tea with some caramel flavor and a hint of salt!

3 Signs the Food World Has Gone Insane
1. Dorito-Flavored Mountain Dew: Interested in a soda that captures the taste of a high-school cafeteria in the '90s? Dewitos is here. Yeah, it's what it sounds like. No, it doesn't appear to be a joke. And no, we will not be trying it. (Unless someone sends it to us; then we might make the new guy test it out.)

2. Wine Milkshakes at Red Robin: We never had any illusions about Red Robin being a paragon of nutrition. But now we're concerned that they've gone off the deep end. The new Divalicious Red Wine Shake combines red wine with vodka, fruit puree, and vanilla soft serve. And while the stats for the shake haven't hit the web yet, based on RR's other boozy milkshakes -- which have around 1,000 calories each -- we're guessing they won't be pretty...

3. Kitchen Art Ham Dogger: Alright, this gadget is odd without being as stone-cold upsetting as the prior two items. Make hamburgers in the shape of... hot dogs! Eh, why not? But we've got to wonder where it ends. Pepperoni shaped like chicken wings? Pickles in the shape of bacon? Waffle-shaped donuts? Actually, that last one sounds really good...

The Buzz…
Calling all foodie gadget heads! If the Ham Dogger isn't your thing, a company called 3 Squares is developing the TIM3 MACHIN3, which functions as a rice cooker, slow cooker, and food steamer. It can also cook quinoa, make oatmeal... even churn out yogurt! Whoa. Check out the Kickstarter campaign. ***Uh-oh... There's a new type of "health halo" in town. You probably know the dangers of assuming any food with a nutritious-sounding label is good for you... But what about food companies that do good things for the community? A new study found that when a company had a reputation for giving back and taking part in beneficial social programs, study participants underestimated the calories in the company's food. We're all for do-gooder behavior, but don't be fooled... Read those nutrition panels! ***Here's a positive trend -- apparently more Americans are working out on Thanksgiving. Think about it: If you're gonna eat more than you normally would, it makes sense to get in some extra burn as well! Who's up for a turkey trot? ***Have you ever added up the grams from the different types of fat on a nutrition panel, only to find they're NOT equal to the total fat? It's more common than you might think! But before you swear off those foods for fear of inaccurate nutritionals, click for the 411 from our pals and partners at About.com Health. ***Lastly, if finding guilt-free grub in a vending machine seems next to impossible, you'll love this... Farmer's Fridge vending machines serve up salad-packed jars! Based in Chicago, they're expected to hit Los Angeles next year. And that's all we've got. HG out!
