We know, we know, youve heard it a zillion times. One person can make a
difference. All it takes is a single step. Yada yada... Uh huh... Right.
However, there IS a reason that people say these things. THEY'RE TRUE! All
those single people add up to millions, and when it comes to stamping out
devastating problems like cancer and heart disease, those millions are vital.
Good thing some of our favorite food brands have gotten the memo and
amped up their efforts to help spread awareness. Good for your taste buds
AND good for the world in general? Here are a few of HGs current faves
YOPLAIT SAVE LIDS TO SAVE LIVES
Yep, Yoplaits campaign has been so successful over the past nine years (lids
from 2006 alone raked in over $1 million!!), they decided to bring it back for
another round! For every pink Yoplait lid mailed in, Save Lids to Save Lives
donates 10 cents to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in order to fund the
research that (we hope) will put an end to breast cancer. They'll donate up to
$1.5 million -- let's make this year THE year!!! The campaign has already
begun, and you have until Dec. 31st to send your lids in, so get ready to
scour your supermarkets shelves for pink-lidded yogurts and smoothies.

LUNA BERRY ALMOND & THE BREAST CANCER FUND
Luna, the leading corporate sponsor of the Breast Cancer Fund, has created

organizations, including WomenHeart (theyre really getting around!), to help
