GIRLS BITE OUT

We looooove coffee... so we whipped up three fantastic java-inspired

recipes. Even if you don't like straight coffee or can't have the caffeinated

stuff (you can easily use decaf in these recipes, and one uses no coffee at

all), you'll likely dig these crazy-tasty treats...

Joe Cool Ice Cream Freeze!

PER SERVING (entire shake): 111 calories, 1g fat, 59mg sodium, 23g carbs,

3g fiber, 12g sugars, 3g protein = POINTS® value 2*

This is fun to try with all your fave flavored coffees, but it works amazingly

well with the plain stuff, too.

Ingredients:

6 oz. prepared coffee (brewed from coffee grounds or made with instant

coffee); chilled

1/2 cup Breyers Slow Churned Free ice cream, Creamy Vanilla

1 1/2 cups crushed ice (about 7 - 10 ice cubes)

1 tsp. Coffee-mate Sugar Free powdered creamer, any flavor; dissolved in

1/2 oz. warm water

2 no-calorie sweetener packets (such as Splenda)

Directions:

Begin by stirring sweetener into coffee. Place all ingredients in a blender. Mix

at low to medium speed until shake is just blended (but not liquified). Now

slurp it up!

MAKES 1 SERVING

HG's Crazy Crumbly Super Yummy Coffee Cakes

PER SERVING (1 coffee cake): 124 calories, 2g fat, 209mg sodium, 27g

carbs, 4g fiber, 11g sugars, 3g protein = POINTS® value 2*

(We'd really love to say something about these, but we're too busy stuffing

our faces with 'em...)

Ingredients:

For Cakes

2 cups moist-style yellow cake mix (1/2 of an 18.25-oz. box)

3/4 cup fat-free sour cream

1/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute

2 oz. (1/4 cup) Torani Sugar Free Syrup, Hazelnut

1 tsp. cinnamon

For Crumb Topping

1 1/2 cups Fiber One bran cereal (original)

1/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute

1/4 cup no-sugar-added applesauce

3 tbsp. Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, granulated

1 tbsp. brown sugar (not packed)

1 tbsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a food processor or blender, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like

consistency. Transfer crumbs to a microwave-safe dish, and add all other

topping ingredients. Stir well, until mixture is completely mixed and crumbly.

Set aside.

Mix all cake ingredients together until thoroughly blended and free of lumps.

Spray a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick spray. Evenly distribute batter

among the cups. Bake for 10 minutes, and then remove pan from oven.

Using your fingers to help form the crumbs, evenly top each cake with crumb

mixture, lightly pressing crumbs into cake tops so they stick. Return pan to

the oven, and bake for 5 minutes longer. Allow to cool before removing

cakes from the pan.

MAKES 12 SERVINGS

HG Tip! If you have trouble finding Torani SF Syrup, head to a Starbucks (or

another fully stocked coffee joint) and order a few shots of the sugar-free

stuff to go.

Black & White Java Pops

PER SERVING (1 pop): 32 calories, 1.25g fat, 18mg sodium, 5g carbs, 0g

fiber, 3g sugars, 0g protein = POINTS® value 1*

Frozen, creamy flavored coffee pops?! Weeeeee!

HG Heads Up! Get your paws on a 3-ounce-per-pop ice pop mold (like this

set), ASAP! Or simply use 4 small plastic cups, cover 'em with tinfoil, and

slide a Popsicle stick thru the foil to make your pops (easy!).

Ingredients:

12 oz. prepared coffee (brewed, or made with 2 flat tsp. instant coffee)

2 tbsp. Hershey’s Syrup Lite chocolate syrup

2 tbsp. Coffee-mate Sugar Free powdered creamer, French Vanilla

4 no-calorie sweetener packets

Directions:

Stir creamer into hot coffee until completely dissolved. Add all other

ingredients, and mix thoroughly. Allow coffee mixture to cool for several

minutes.

Carefully pour coffee mixture evenly into 4 ice pop compartments or 4 small

plastic cups. Cover (insert sticks, if necessary), and place in the freezer until

completely frozen (several hours).

Once pops are frozen, you can run a little warm water along the base of the

mold/cup to help release your pop easily. Enjoy!
