We're right in the middle of National Pretzel Month! And whether you like
yours soft and steamy or hard and crunchy, we've got recipes, dip tips, food
finds and more for you. Prepare to be PRETZELED, HG style...


Personal Pretzel-Bottomed Ice Cream Pie!

PER SERVING (entire pie): 193 calories, 0.5g fat, 276 - 284mg sodium, 43 -
45g carbs, 5 - 6.5g fiber, 19 - 20g sugars, 6g protein -- POINTS® value 3*

Look! It's a portion-controlled sweet 'n salty treat... yay!

Ingredients:
1/2 oz. thin salted hard pretzels (about 24 sticks); finely crushed
3/4 cup Breyers Double Churn Free ice cream, French Chocolate or Creamy
Vanilla
1 tbsp. light vanilla soymilk
Optional: Fat Free Reddi-wip

Directions:
Place crushed pretzels in a small bowl and stir in the soymilk. Once mixture
is thoroughly blended, evenly spread it along the bottom and up along the
sides of the bowl to form a "pie crust". Next, scoop ice cream into a
separate, microwave-safe dish, and microwave for about 10 seconds
(depending on how hard the ice cream is), until just softened. Give ice cream
a thorough stir so that it is an even consistency. Spoon softened ice cream
carefully onto the pretzel-crust, and use the back of the spoon to smooth it
out evenly over the crust. (Don't worry if it's not perfect -- it's YOUR pie!)
Place dish in the freezer until ice cream is hard again. If you like, top with
some Fat Free Reddi-wip before digging in!

Soft Pretzel w/ Sweet Pumpkin Dip

PER SERVING (entire recipe): 188 calories, 1g fat, 200mg sodium, 39g carbs,
2g fiber, 3g sugars, 6g protein -- POINTS® value 3*

Pumpkin and pudding and pretzels?! PERFECT!!!

Ingredients:
1 2.25-oz. Superpretzel soft pretzel (from the 6-count frozen package)
2 tbsp. light vanilla soymilk
2 tbsp. canned pure pumpkin
1/2 tsp. Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free instant pudding mix, Vanilla
1/8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 no-calorie sweetener packet (like Splenda)
dash salt

Directions:
Thaw and heat pretzel per package instructions (optional addition of provided
salt not included in nutritionals); set aside. Combine pudding mix with
soymilk and stir. Add all other ingredients to mixture, stir until blended, and
serve it alongside the warm pretzel.
