It's PIZZA PARTY TIME, people! Check out HG's pizza awards, a HOT new

recipe, and our recipe round-up...

We've chewed plenty of pizza -- from restaurants, the frozen food aisle and

more. Here are the best and worst in the world of guilt-free, cheesy, sauced-

up dough...

Most Deceiving Restaurant Slice - Papa John's Thin Crust Pizza

PER SERVING (1 slice, 1/8th of a 14-inch large pie): 240 calories, 13g fat,

500mg sodium, 22g carbs, 1g fiber, 2g sugars, 10g protein -- POINTS®

value 6*

You don't need us to tell you that stuffed-crust pizzas, triple-meat-topped

pies, and thick-crust creations with extra cheese are high in calories and fat.

But we found the stats on this plain thin-crust pizza pretty shocking.

Obviously, all thin crusts are not created equal. Also disappointing is the fact

that Papa J's doesn't offer their thin crust as an option for the medium-sized

pie, just the large. And, any way you slice it, 13 grams of fat for a single

piece is pretty high.

Best Pizza Snack - Amy's Cheese Pizza Toaster Pops

PER SERVING (1 Toaster Pop): 150 calories, 5g fat, 220mg sodium, 23g

carbs, 1g fiber, 2g sugars, 5g protein -- POINTS® value 3*

These insanely delicious things are like the lovechild of a Pop-Tart and a

pizza pie. You get tomato sauce (with a slightly sweet kick!) and melty

mozzarella wrapped up in a rich, doughy pocket. These may be the best-

tasting pizza item the frozen food aisle has ever seen. BTW, they're also

organic and kosher, which we think is pretty cool.

Most Worthy of Online Ordering - Pizza Fit 'n Free

PER SERVING (entire 6.4-oz. pizza): 252 calories, 0g fat, 450mg sodium, 43g

carbs, 3g fiber, 0g sugars, 19g protein -- POINTS® value 4*

If you’re the type who has sworn you'd never do any food shopping from a

computer, now is SO the time to reconsider. We’re talking completely fat-

free personal-sized pies that are loaded with protein and fiber too. Add

veggies, turkey pepperoni, meaty soy crumbles -- even pineapple if you like!

Or just eat this cheesy treat as is (pretty plain, but good!). We REALLY love

these because you can dress 'em up with lots of stuff and STILL have a

totally guilt-free meal.

Best Overall Freezer Aisle Find - South Beach Diet Pizzas with Harvest Wheat

PER SERVING (entire pizza, 6.3 - 6.8 oz.): 330 - 350 calories, 10 - 12g fat,

600 - 700mg sodium, 36 - 37g carbs, 9 - 10g fiber, 4 - 5g sugars, 30 - 31g

protein -- POINTS® value 7*

This particular award had quite a few worthy contenders. But in the end,

South Beach Diet's line of pies won out for several reasons. For starters,

these pizzas are packing serious amounts of fiber -- a whopping 9 - 10

grams each! Also, there are four delicious varieties available: Grilled Chicken

& Vegetable, Deluxe, Four Cheese, and Pepperoni. Plus, the serving stats

listed are for the entire impressively sized pie, which we like. And finally,

these pies are microwavable, so they are PERFECT for stashing in the office

freezer and nuking for lunch. Yay!

Sometimes the sauce wants the spotlight...

1 Western Bagel The Alternative Bagel, Roasted Onion

1 wedge The Laughing Cow cheese, Light Garlic & Herb

2 tbsp. canned tomato sauce

salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder; to taste

Slice bagel in half, and spread cheese wedge evenly over both halves.

Season sauce to taste with salt, pepper and spices. Spread sauce over the

cheese. Place bagel halves in the toaster oven and toast for about 5 minutes,

until sauce is hot and bagel is crispy. (If you don't have a toaster oven, you

can pop 'em in the oven at 450 degrees and cook until hot 'n crispy.) If you

like, season the tops as you would a regular slice. Now chew!
