CHEW THE RIGHT THING

BITE IT!

HG's Green Tea Crème Swappuccino

Come On, Get Frappy!

Love Starbucks' Tazo Green Tea Frap but hate the silly stats that come

along with it? Check out our latest masterpiece...

Ingredients:

4 oz. light vanilla soymilk

1 oz. Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup

2 tsp. Coffee-mate Sugar Free French Vanilla powdered creamer

1 heaping tsp. matcha green tea powder (found in tea shops, at select

markets, and online -- click here for a good one!)

2 no-calorie sweetener packets (like Splenda)

1 1/2 cups crushed ice

2 tbsp. Fat Free Reddi-wip

Directions:

Combine matcha green tea powder and powdered creamer with 2 oz. of

warm water, and stir until powders have completely dissolved. Place this

mixture in a blender, along with the soymilk, syrup, sweetener, and ice.

Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds. Pour into a glass, and top with the

Reddi-wip. Enjoy! MAKES 1 SERVING

FIGHT IT!

Starbucks' Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Crème

Floppuccino!

Starbucks' Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Crème is annoying. Why?

Because people think just 'cuz something is made with green tea it's

automatically low in calories and diet-friendly, and this cup of chilly green

goo is anything but! It's actually got more fat and way more calories than the

very decadent-sounding Honey Frappuccino Blended Crème (but trust us --

you don't wanna go there either!). This green tea fiasco is weighed down with

milk, sugary melon syrup (blech!), and a ginormous serving of fat-packed

whipped cream. And does The 'Bucks have a light version of this frozen foe

on their menu? Nope. Luckily, if you crave a rich 'n tasty green tea

concoction, you can indulge without wasting close to 500 calories -- just

blend up HG's Green Tea Crème Swappuccino. It too is green, frozen,

delicious, and whipped-cream-topped. But it has just 75 calories. Hooray for

us!

Zappuccino Alert! Did you know there is an entire chapter of recipes for

coffee shop swaps in the HG cookbook? There is -- check it out! The book's
