Spotted on Shelves...

Kraft Bagel-fuls, New Fruit & Cream Cheese Varieties - A while back, we told
you about Bagel-fuls, Twinkie-shaped "bagels" filled with cream cheese that
come frozen and thaw fast for an on-the-go bagel fix. These new ones are
stuffed with cream cheese and fruit filling, and the stats are even more
impressive than the originals. In Cherry, Strawberry, and Apple Cinnamon
(apple filling in a cinnamon & brown sugar bagel!), each one has 190
calories, 3g fat, 34g carbs, 2g fiber, and 6g protein (POINTS® value 4*).
Look for 'em in the breakfast section of the freezer aisle.

Blue Bunny Birthday Party Ice Cream Sandwiches - These aren't spun
as "light" frozen treats, but each one has just 160 calories, 3.5g fat, 27g
carbs, <1g fiber, and 3g protein (POINTS® value 3*) -- and they are SO
awesome. You get white-cake-flavored ice cream crammed with sprinkles
and frosting, all sandwiched between two tasty vanilla wafers. WORTH it!
Yum...

Fiber One Lowfat Cottage Cheese with Fiber - Just when you thought our
friends at F1 couldn't possibly cram fiber into anything else, they did. This
cottage cheese ROCKS. With 80 calories, 2g fat, 8g carbs, 5g fiber, and 10g
protein (POINTS® value 1*) per 1/2-cup serving, this stuff is creamier and
more delicious than fat-free cottage cheese with better stats than the regular
low-fat kind. Double score!

Websites Worth Checking Out...

StillTasty.com - Here you can get answers to pretty much any question you
could possibly have about shelf life and storing methods for various foods --
and that can save you cash, since wasted food equals wasted money. The
Question of the Day feeds you answers to Qs you didn't even know you had,
and there are "Shelf Talk" articles to keep you fully informed. Pretty useful!
We learned you should never rinse raw chicken. Who knew?!

Shortcuts.com - Sure there are a slew of online sources for coupons out
there, but this one's REALLY cool. Partnered with over a dozen supermarket
chains, the freebie service links coupons directly to your grocery store
savings card. In other words, no printing and cutting necessary. Just show
your card at checkout, and savings will be applied. The site is new and still
expanding, so if your favorite store isn't included, email in and let them know.

Tweetwhatyoueat.com - This site hasn't been around long and still has some
kinks to work out, but we're Twitter-obsessed and think this is cool. Basically,
you set up a food diary through your Twitter account, and the site allows you
to track what you eat (as well as the calories) using your cell phone or
computer. You can also schedule reminders, save frequently chewed foods
and their calorie counts, track your weight, and make a Do Not Eat list.
(Warning: The site keeps a tally of how many times you slip up and eat foods
on your Do Not Eat list!) Try it out and let us know what you think...

How SWEET Is It? Stevia Poll!!!

People have been buzzing about stevia and stevia-derived sweeteners these
days. There's Truvia, PureVia, Sun Crystals (a sugar-stevia blend), and
more. Have you seen or tried any of 'em? All of 'em? Have you noticed that
products like Vitaminwater10, Trop50, and 0 Cal SoBe Lifewater are
sweetened with the stuff? Do you like it? Hate it? Feel indifferent? WE WANT
INFO!!! Click here to take our little pop-up poll about sweeteners. We REALLY
wanna know what you're thinking these days, and we know how you love to
take polls, so start voicing your opinions. There's power in numbers, people --
HGers could make a difference in what companies put out in the future!

The Buzz...

***Oooh, Mickey D's is getting all fancy-schmancy! McCafé, a new line of
gourmet coffee drinks, is now being served up nationwide at McDonald's. A
small flavored latte or cappuccino made with nonfat milk has 140 - 180
calories and a POINTS® value of 3 - 4*, and a small one made with nonfat
milk and sugar-free vanilla syrup (as opposed to regular syrup) or no flavor
syrup at all contains just 40 - 90 calories and a POINTS® value of 1 - 2*.
Woohoo! ***Do you have an EB-brand fitness ball -- one labeled Bally Total
Fitness, Everlast, Body Fit or Valeo? Heads up! About THREE MILLION of
these exercise balls were recently recalled after several dozen people
reported that their ball suddenly burst during use. Click here for the full
story, and be careful! ***Here's some nutty news for you. A study recently
published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition compared the heart-
health benefits of walnuts and fatty fish (both contain Omega-3s). The results
indicate that walnuts are MORE effective in reducing total and LDL (bad)
cholesterol than fatty fish. And a separate study, this one just published in
the British Journal of Nutrition, suggests that including even a small amount
of walnuts in your diet could improve motor skills and cognitive function.
WOWSERS! ***A few HG spies have noticed some Weight Watchers chilled
meals in the fridge section of their local markets. There are a dozen
varieties, including Vegetable Lasagna and Turkey Meatloaf with Garlic
Mashed Potato, and each has a POINTS® value of 4 to 6. Well, that's all
we've got. HG out!
