HG's Caramel Apple Frappe



Shake Superior

Yes, it's getting chilly out -- blah, blah, blah. There is no wrong time to enjoy

a FANTASTIC shake swap... especially one that's inspired by fall treats.

Enjoy!



Ingredients:

1 sugar-free caramel pudding snack with 60 calories or less

1/2 cup apple cider (plain, not sparkling)

1/4 cup freeze-dried apple pieces (like Gerber Graduates Apple Mini Fruits)

1/4 cup fat-free vanilla ice cream

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. vanilla extract

1 cup crushed ice or 5 - 8 ice cubes

2 tbsp. Fat Free Reddi-wip



Directions:

Place all ingredients except for Reddi-wip into a blender. Blend until smooth,

and then pour into a nice tall glass. (Or even a crummy tall glass. Your call.)



Top with Reddi-wip, stick a straw in it, and enjoy! Mmmmm...

Caramel Apple/Apple Pie Shake, Average

Logically speaking, an APPLE shake should be lower in fat and calories than

a CHOCOLATE shake, right? WRONG! Every autumn, seasonal shakes

inspired by caramel apples and apple pie turn up at popular restaurant and

ice cream chains, and the stats are truly terrifying -- often WAY worse than

their plain old chocolate and vanilla counterparts. Johnny Rockets' Big Apple

Shake reportedly has an insane 1,585 calories and 90g fat! That's practically

as much fat as an ENTIRE apple pie. (And word is, that thing's available year-

round!) Even the average dessert-inspired apple shake has nearly a

thousand calories and close to 50 grams of fat. Ick. So if you think ordering

one of those drinks is smarter than chomping into the actual dessert, think

again. Our shake ROCKS. We don't know what those places put in THEIR

shakes, but they're clearly doing it all wrong.
