ASK HUNGRY GIRL

Dear Hungry Girl,

I LOVE the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard at Dairy Queen, but I heard that thing

has 800 calories for a medium-sized one. Can this be true? And if so, what

do you have in the way of a swap for me, HG?

Blizzard Babe

Dear Blizzard Babe,

Thanks for the Q. For me, it's SO hard to believe that a medium-sized cup of

cold, creamy peppermint goop is so CRAZY-HIGH in stats. But it is. A

medium cup of the Blizzard in question has 800 calories and 22 grams of fat!

Why? Because it's LOADED with chocolate and sugar, and the portion size is

pretty out of control -- even for a medium one. As far as a swap, I've come

up with good one! It's thick and delicious and saves you TONS of fat and

calories. Check it out...

HG's Pepped-Up Candy Freeze

Dear HG,

What are some of your FAVORITE HG recipes I can make and take to a

brunch or party? HELP ME, HG! Spill it...

Dear Party Patti,

Excellent Q. And I'm sure many people are wondering the exact same thing

this time of year. I've thought a lot about this and am going to recommend a

bunch of recipes that are PERFECT for parties. They're easy to make and SO

delicious no one would ever know they're low in calories and fat. (Face it, no

one wants to feel like they're eating "diet" food at a party!). Here they are...

Crazy-Delicious Cherry Cheese Danish - The BEST brunch treat EVER.

Sweet Caramelized Onion Dip - There's no dip on the planet as delicious (not

exaggerating).

Holy Moly Guacamole - Half avocado, half peas, 100% amazing!

3-Cheese Bacon-Apple-Bella Frittata - A sweet, sassy brunch-time favorite.

Devilish Eggs - No one will miss those yolks!

Pleeeeeease let me know how everyone likes the stuff!
