Hold on to your apt-for-autumn hats -- we combined a bunch of our favorite things and ended up with one of the best-ever recipes for marshmallow treats!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp. light whipped butter or light buttery spread (like Brummel & Brown)
3 cups mini marshmallows
One 3.52-oz. bag (about 4 cups) Quaker Caramel Corn Popped Rice Snacks, lightly crushed
2 cups Fiber One Original bran cereal
1 cup puffed wheat cereal
3 oz. (about 1/2 cup) candy corn, chopped
Directions:
Spray a 9" X 13" baking pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.
Place butter in a large pot on the stove, and set heat to low. Once melted, add marshmallows and stir until completely melted as well, about 10 minutes.
Remove pot from heat. Add lightly crushed rice snacks and both types of cereal. Gently stir until thoroughly coated.
Using a spatula sprayed with nonstick spray, press mixture evenly into the baking pan. If needed, lay a sheet of wax paper flat over the mixture and press until surface is even; then remove.
Evenly sprinkle chopped candy corn pieces over the mixture in the pan and press firmly into the mixture with the spatula.
Let cool completely. Cut into 12 pieces and EAT!
