Cocktail Recipes: Mango Bellinis, Pineapple-Rum Drink, Tropical Sangria

Before the holiday weekend goes into full swing, round up ingredients for these new cocktail recipes -- you'll be the life of the party, and no one will suspect the drinks are low in calories. Bottoms up!

Hungry Girl's Mango-Lime Bellinis
Mango-Lime Bellinis

1/6th of recipe (1 flute): 99 calories, 0g fat, 0mg sodium, 7g carbs, 0.5g fiber, 4g sugars, 0.5g protein -- PointsPlus® value 3*

Prep: 5 minutes

A little sweet, a little tart, and perfect for a summer brunch!

1 cup mango chunks (fresh or thawed from frozen)
1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
One 750-ml. bottle sparkling white wine, chilled
Optional garnishes: lime slices, mango slices

Place mango chunks and lime juice in a small food processor or blender. Puree until smooth.

Evenly distribute puree among 6 champagne flutes, about 2 tbsp. each. Top with the wine, and enjoy!

Why should mojitos and limes have all the fun? We muddled raspberries for this bubbly beverage!

Prep: 5 minutes or less

1/4 cup raspberries
2 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1 1/2 oz. rum
5 oz. club soda

Place raspberries in a tall glass, and muddle (a.k.a. mash) them with a muddler or wooden spoon. Add pineapple juice and rum, and mix thoroughly. Stir in club soda, and serve over ice!


Hungry Girl's Tropical Sangria
Tropical Sangria

1/8th of recipe (about 1 cup): 139 calories, 0g fat, 16mg sodium, 11g carbs, 0.5g fiber, 8g sugars, <0.5g protein -- PointsPlus® value 5*

This white-wine sangria is ready to perk up your next bash. Sip a glass poolside...

Prep: 5 minutes
Chill: 5 hours

One 8-oz. can pineapple chunks packed in juice, not drained
1 cup mango chunks (fresh or thawed from frozen)
2 limes, sliced into rounds 
One 750-ml bottle white wine (sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio)
4 oz. coconut rum
12 oz. diet lemon-lime soda

Place all fruit in a very large pitcher, including the juice from the canned pineapple. Add the wine and rum. Gently stir.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 5 hours. Just before serving, add soda and stir. Serve with a ladle, and make sure to get some fruit in each glass!
