Ham and cheese are a classic combination -- but when paired with buttery WAFFLES, things get a little crazy. Crazy AMAZING!!!
2 low-fat waffles, thawed from frozen
1 oz. sliced 97 - 98% fat-free ham (about 2 slices)
1 slice fat-free American cheese
1/2 tbsp. light whipped butter or light buttery spread (like Brummel and Brown), room temperature
Evenly top one waffle with ham. Lay cheese slice over the ham and cover with the other waffle. Set aside.
Bring a skillet sprayed with nonstick spray to medium-high heat on the stove. Add butter and allow it to coat the bottom of the skillet.
Gently place sandwich in the skillet and cook until lightly browned on the outside and hot on the inside, about 2 minutes per side, flipping carefully with a spatula.
