Study Confirms We're Significantly More Likely to Maintain Healthy Habits When a Significant Other Is On Board

How many of us have cited our SO's less-than-healthy routine as a bad influence when we're trying to develop smart habits? Unofficial answer: Lots of us. Well, apparently, the opposite is also true. A recent study of over 3,700 couples found we're considerably more likely to quit smoking, get active, and lose weight when our partners are on the same track.

We found our own proof when we heard from couples who lost weight together on the Hungry Girl Diet. When Valerie and Ron teamed up last year, she lost 19 pounds, and he lost 40! Then there are Penny and Mitch, who lost 40 and 48 pounds respectively on the diet together! Last but not least, check out our own HG Diet VIP couple, Elizabeth and Brandon -- in just 4 weeks, they lost a combined 32 pounds. WOW.
